Watch and see.

Minutes are earned on the practice court, you know that.
I love Aj and I know he has a future here.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if Cuonzo's hopes for him are realized this season.
I don't think it will happen yet.
He's a tweener at this point and his problems in the rankings were because he hadn't found his identity.
Going to take a season to make up his mind.
Hope he proves me wrong.
Practice is one thing. Battling under the boards after the tip off is another.

Sure wish Conzo could recruit like Butch. We should get into the sweet 16 this year or it will be a big disappointment for me.

Butch can recruit for sure, but he had the benefit of some legacies, so that helped. Still, your point is well taken.

You wouldn't think that by some of the attitudes and comments today.

We have only seen two of those guys play college ball.....could they be a good team? Yes but it could also be a mediocre team like the first two yrs.

Reese will be solid, Moore will be great if he keeps working hard. I just don't know how hard Moore works in the gym; he needs to improve his shot and handling to become a great player.

Derek you can come out and say it's you now.

Um - not so fast my friends - we have got to reel in the Jalen Lindseys of the world in order to be upper tier in the SEC. At the current pace - I don't see it.

I think the team will be and play reflective of the recruiting rankings which have been around 8 th or 9 th in the SEC since Martin has been on board.

Nationally - 2011 46th
2012 43rd
2013 36th
2014 38th

This doesn't point me to back to back tourney appearances. It makes me think - to the dance followed by - to the dumpster fire. Hope against hope I am wrong - but we haveeeeeeeeee to recruit better than listed above.

Jalen Lindsey fell off so bad example ... 2014 class is ranked 38th? Interesting.

I wish CCM had the tradition to sell to recruits. If you think that didn't help UCLA land Looney, I have a golfball that NEVER slices that I will sell you.

Hmm...it's not CCM selling his tradition it's UT that falls short compared to UCLA in selling the tradition. CCM can only show what UT is recognized for. Agree that playing at UCLA definitely made the decision for Looney. CCM has shown he can get in door and homes of some good athletes. Just have to keep throwing it on the wall, something will stick. I think he can fair better on regional 5 star kids for now. Just has to get this team winning and showing they can go to the NCAA dance. Elite Kids are only going to a school that traditionally goes dancing. If your school is a wall flower then you're not getting the elite kids at your party.

@Ben_Fred: Martin complimented freshman A.J. Davis today. Davis has been battling Stokes, Maymon down low. "The level of toughness has surprised me."

After last season I don't believe much of the hubb bubb that comes from practice.
But, like I say, I hope he proves me wrong.

You will be extremely happy with this healthy and upgraded roster. The last two years are history. A ton of ass whippings are coming. Enjoy.

A bunch of players who have never done anything. Who hoo. How absurd.

I think he'll be put in a 3/4 spot in a 4 guard rotation. Also, Reese isn't an upperclassmen, it happens all the time a freshmen comes and beats out a sophomore. Reese still has 3 more years to develop and AJ Davis must be really good to beat out Moore also.

I admit, I'm a bit bias towards Reese; but I always try to look at a player four years from now. Martin really like his guys who work hard in practice and out of practice - Reese seems to do both. If Reese can readjust his shot mechanics (like Richardson), he could be a heck of a shooter. Reese can improve and become a better player if he really wants to.

I actually really like Reese. If he's going to make it, he'll have to have a high bball IQ. He's got some unique tools to work with in that he's tall, has ability to shoot from distance and isn't afraid to mix it up down low.

He's never gonna overpower anyone in the post so he'll have to use technique and position and play smarter basketball. He doesn't have the athleticism or quickness to guard small 3s and doesn't have the muscle to truly handle a big 4. He could learn to be a difficult matchup on offense and give up a little on defense, but he'll have to use time in the weight room and practice to do so.

I like him and hope he takes advantage of his opportunity and be patient for his time to come. He may transfer out for playing time but I hope he ends up contributing here.

Only if we are losing.

I started to reply to his ignorant post, but I will not engage. This dude may actually be the first to make my ignore list. That's saying something, considering some of the fools that have been on here over the years.

+1

I've never put anyone on ignore, and don't plan to, but if ever there was one the feature was created for, its the big Bopper.
