Anybody can speculate. This group in the OP will be near the bottom of the SEC based on their standing as prospects and experience.

Okay.

Dear Coach Martin,

I'd like to petition that we cancel the 2014-15 basketball season. Bop, you know, the expert prognosticator from VolNation, has already forecasted our demise two seasons ahead of time. Save us all the misery that is to come if you will.

Sincerely,
Vol fans everywhere

I started to reply to his ignorant post, but I will not engage. This dude may actually be the first to make my ignore list. That's saying something, considering some of the fools that have been on here over the years.

Feeding trolls is always bad. I always go past his posts.

Should have shared it with BOP. Lol

Lol why would I have done that? He would have gotten on here and gave some asinine opinion on wether if it was bad luck or not. Then instead of it being an opinion he would have acted as if his opinion was fact. You know? Normal BOP stuff

There's so much unknown on that roster that I can't be optimistic about it.

After last season I don't believe much of the hubb bubb that comes from practice.
But, like I say, I hope he proves me wrong.

From VQ today...

One of the more under-the-radar developments in the last week or so has been A.J. Davis. Given a chance to grab the back-up power forward spot, Davis seemed to get off to a bit of a slow start. That's not been the case recently.

Often charged with guarding Maymon or Stokes in practice, where he gives up probably 50-60 pounds and tons of experience in either match-up, Davis has made it known to everyone that he's a battler. Davis may come out on the short end more often than not, but his head coach has definitely noticed his willingness to step up and be physical against larger, stronger opponents.

We might as well talk about how bad we are going to be in 2020. I mean we are losing everybody. Coach Martin can only get 2 stars and a couple 3 stars. We are SCREWED! Idk what we're gonna do. Farr him I guess

There are real concerns with the roster for next year, but they are just unknowns at this point. We don't really know how much of a concern they will be at this juncture because no games have been played yet.

There is a very slight chance Stokes comes back if he doesn't get the projection he wants and this is projected to be one of the stronger classes in recent memory. Sure, he could play overseas but it's widely known he wants to play in the NBA.

I believe we have play makers and outside shot takers now and coming in (Hubbs, Austin, Thompson, Richardson, Armani). Biggest question is consistent post offense. Honestly, I really would have liked a guy like Hurt who has proven he has offensive power. Cofer is athletic and an energy guy. Turman is a physical presence. Both will be good defensive players, but their polish in the post will determine a lot for our future.
