I asked if Darius might have any pull? You pulled out your wise guy hat and give me sound advise like this kid not making his college decision off of an AAU opponent. CPA in Nashville and Blackman in Murfreesboro. Considering game recognizes game, I thought it was a reasonable question to ask if Darius had any pull.(thinking maybe he wasnt just an opponent but a buddy)

attack.? lol Thats funny coming from a person who creates words to sound smart.

What are you complaining about?

All he did was answer your question.

Maybe "killed our chances" was a little harsh, but I do feel it really hurts our chances...

Reason 1: Chris alluded to it, if we part ways with Landry like many are speculating will happen (if Stokes returns), then I'm sure the HP staff won't be too welcoming to the Tennessee staff coming there to see Jalen. You can also imaging they probably won't have very good things to say about Tennessee to Jalen.

Bto can you explain your very upper level thinking posted here??

So now your opinion is Lindsey will be told good things about tenn from his new coaching staff???

What changed?

Did you look at that date yet and realize what you're saying makes no sense? My post you bumped of that killed our chances was in regards to him going to HP and earning offers from the schools he is looking for offers from, had nothing to do with Landry. Holy cow this is like talking with Freddie from The Ringer.

You realize your "reason 1" that Bruin quoted directly contradicts this right? Childish insults are awesome though. They always make weak stances stronger.

Oh but he said that from the beginning, then argument greatly he didn't, and then now has been saying that all along. It all makes perfect sense.

I thought I cleared this up for you, you still struggling to comprehend? Tell us some more how this won't effect elite recruits, but that it'll effect Lindsey, pretty much the definition of a hypocrite.

I've never seen someone get so upset about a top 150 player committing, you were obviously more worried about your theory being right than hoping for success, pathetic.

Anybody got any updates on Lindsey??

Are our chances better today than before Landry parted ways with Tennessee?

What is your point? What is it your trying to get at, I truly thought I explained this to you, are you purposely ignoring certain posts of mine or just being stubborn.

I'll give this one more shot: your first post yesterday you said, that I said Landry killed our chances with Lindsey, that's where I disagreed. I did not ever say that, but you started posting posts of mine which I make mention that it would have an impact...do you not see the difference? Yes, the Landry situation will not help with Lindsey, it will also hurt our chances with any HP recruit. However, the Landry situation did not kill our chances with Lindsey like you said I said, and that's where this all started.

I have said, as you read in the Lindsey thread, that this won't help us at HP. I also stated this just days ago in the Landry thread, that this would have minimal impact, but where that impact would be would be at HP. You then felt the need to say im a hypocrite because I said this wouldn't effect recruiting, but that it would effect Lindsey. I apologize, I thought I had made it clear in the threads discussing this, that yes it obviously would effect us at HP. I even went on to ask though, how many kids has Tennessee ever gotten from there, my point being, while yes it hurts our chances there, we didn't have much of a chance to begin with there.

Now, you decided to go on a rant that this WOULDN'T effect us with the elite recruits, but then are arguing it'll effect us with Landry, an elite recruit. You also said the guys this would hurt us with are the guys in the 100-150 range, yet 12 hours after you saying this we get a commitment from one of those guys.

Here's how I feel, hope this is clear...the travon landry situation will have minimal effect on recruiting. That minimal effect, which I've said for a week, will be felt at HP. I don't feel this situation will hurt us with any recruit outside of HP or without tied to Landry. I don't think this will hurt with the elite recruits (except HP ones), nor do I think that it will hurt with the 100-150 range player either.

Agreed on elite recruits.

Disagree on 100-150 or below recruits.

Only time will tell and even then we will likely never know whether the outcome cost us a single recruit or not.

Well through 48 hours since this came out Martin has landed a top 150 recruit, so that would appear that this won't have much effect.

I guess it depend how nit picky you wanna get...there very well may be 1 kid in the top 150 who doesn't consider us because of this, but is that a big deal? There's probably 2 or 3 kids who don't consider us because we wear orange, there's some kids that regardless of what you do just won't consider your school. Like I've said, I think he ends up with a top 25 class, which IMO would mean this had no impact...jmo

Where was Derek Reese rated? Would losing him have been a big deal?

What if we lost Reese but signed the next Lofton in his place?

Idk where was Chris loften rated?

Would Lofton have been what he was had he gone to say WKU for example? My point is, I think there's much bigger negatives against Zo being used than this Landry situation, the big one being not ever making a NCAA tournament. I can promise that's being used a lot more against him than the landry situation is gonna be.

The point is the lesser coveted recruits can make a huge difference sometimes. Certainly not as likely but it does happen

NOBODY knew Lofton would do what he did so that example isn't one that you can use I don't think.

According to Brendan Quinn, the Huntington Prep coach tweeted "Sometimes I love karma" right after the Golden news broke. Its gone from his feed now. Doesn't sound like we'll be getting much help on that end with Lindsey.

I saw it before he deleted it. Lindsey was a long shot to begin with and this probably sealed it.
