Right. Asked to name 4 he leaves us out. Next article has 5 and we are in there with the other 4.
So I would guess we are 5th. We need to get him on campus. Maybe Mann could be the key here.
Or it was an oversight on his part when asked on the spot, or its also possible it could have been a little bit older info that the guys just now wrote the article on. Simply put, I dont believe Tennessee is a throw in 5th team.
Updated 2019 list...
#9 Jalen Lecque
#15 Josiah James
#37 Tre Mann
#55 Greg Gantt
#66 Marcus Watson
#74 Patrick Williams
#81 Kira Lewis
#83 Dekeyvan Tandy
#99 CJ Walker
#178* Drew Pember(#178 by 247)-UT COMMIT
#188* Jason Jitoboh(#188 by 247)
#204* Davonte Gaines(#204 by 247)-UT COMMIT
Removed Withers and Williams, added Lecque and Jitoboh back.
VQ has article up on Walker, Gantt and Williams...all 3 speak very highly of the Vols and all 3 as of today sound like they would take an OV to Tennessee. However it appears Tennessee favors Walker and he is likely to be the guy Tennessee schedules for an OV first.
D.J. Thorpe, Lake Travis, Center (BK)
Add this one to the list as well. 6'8" 240lb big man out of Texas. Had a big showing at the NBPA Top 100 camp. You may remember his dad Otis Thorpe from the Houston Rockets.

Where did you see that Tennessee is actively recruiting him?

This guy is a late bloomer, so there's no surprise that that the recruiting services don't have much info on him. He has a NBA pedigree and he will probably grow another inch by next year.
Notes from NBPA:
DJ Thorpe, C, 2019
Heading into camp, DJ Thorpe was one of the least heralded prospects in attendance, but he proved he belonged during the night session on Wednesday, competing in the paint, grabbing rebounds on both ends and playing a physical brand of basketball. This time of year college coaches are searching for potential new options at the center spot and Thorpe, a 6-foot-8, 240-pound big man is sure to see his recruitment rise during the July evaluation periods.
Recruiting: Kansas State, Oklahoma State, TCU, Tennessee, Texas A&M and a host of others
