2019 Target List

True. I think we end up signing at least 4 in 2019 though. But not gonna be able to sign 4 in the fall.

Exactly, and those guys are all planning to be fall signees so that’s why I say that. Ideally we are signed full in the fall and the staff continues to evaluate guys in case of attrition in the spring.

Assuming Burns takes one of the two 2018 spots available, how are we looking for the other spot? We gonna mess around and miss on the grad transfer trying to get Lecque?

No, Fore has the green light, staff is simply content waiting on him. If he goes elsewhere I would guess they just ride with what they’ve got unless someone comes available not currently available.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like Marcus Watson is now ranked #33 nationally in the '19 class by 247.

I'd love to see a class of Mann, Watson/Tandy, and Burns (Obviously with Burns reclassifying being the likely scenario).

BTO is using Rivals. (props to BTO for that btw)

Thanks for clearing that up. I definitely agree with them on Tandy. He is easily a national Top 100 talent. He is way underrated by 247. From what I've read, other than one game he has really been impressive this spring.

Was just told by someone I trust Pember is likely to reclass to 2020, I mentioned this in the OP...if that’s the case the offer makes a lot more sense.

College basketball recruiting: Breakout performers from second weekend of spring evaluation period

Drew Pember, PF, B Maze Elite
Not a ton is known about Pember on a national scale, but he showed very well for himself this weekend. At around 6-foot-8 he is an ideal stretch power forward, but in the same vein he isn't scared of contact. Pember is an above average athlete who can handle the ball some and create his own offense. If he ups his rebounding rate a little bit he could be a dynamic player. After a strong showing all weekend long it will be interesting what direction his recruitment goes in the rest of the summer.
Recruiting: Mercer, Samford, Austin Peay

Thoughts on Pember?

But really, if he bulks up, he seems like a more skilled, but shorter version of Kent.

From what I’ve gathered he’s much more mobile, he’s a 3/4 at the next level with great length versus a 4/5 who can shoot but is undersized.

Yes I agree. From his highlights, he seems to have a nose for the ball on defense. Good amount of steals / blocks.

On offense it seems his game is primarily outside shots, with some limited post / driving ability.

Once he bulks up, he can add to his post game which would make him a very solid player.

Agree. I think he would be icing on the cake if he’s kind of the “throw in” to the 2019 class, or preps and is 2019.
