2019 Target List

And if Bone/Turner/Bowden/Williams are flops we don’t make the tourney last year, aren’t preseason Top 10 this year, and aren’t in the running for the Top 100 guys we currently are in on.

You're still talking about how good a class was.

We aren't on the same page.

And anyways - this argument is dumb because we are just of different opinions and you don't want any expectations on RB's recruiting even though he's about to sign his best class.

Very simple...which class is more important to the success of this program, current sophomore class or upcoming 2019 class?

Put any expectations you want on it, but I highly doubt if Barnes lands a great class and in 2 years we suck you are gonna say it’s ok guys we are recruiting great. Point being on court results are still what matters regardless of recruiting rankings, if we sign back to back Top 20 classes but in 2 year miss the dance back to back that’s not ok. On the flip side if we make the dance next 3 years while continuing to recruit similar to last 3 classes and Barnes will continue to deserve praise.

We aren’t even having the same conversation.

Moving on.

Now you are moving even further away from what I'm talking about.

Have a good day BTO. :hi:

If you are talking importance to this program being successful there is no comparison, I’m not sure what other importance you would be referring to which is why I guessed rankings. I’m guessing there’s a good reason you don’t want to clarify which is probably that you’ve realized just how foolish that take was...this sophomore class led Tennessee to their first NCAAT in 4 years, a Top 5 regular season in history of the program, featured SEC POY and SEC 6thMOY....saying a 2019 class of 3/4 players is more important than that is not even worthy of discussion, you are correct about that.

Stopped reading half way thru this asinine post.

For like the 7th time today. We aren't even having the same conversation. You refuse to listen to anything and continue to twist my stance. This convo is over. :hi:

I’ve asked you to clarify yet you won’t :hmm:

Clarified for months.

The closest I’ve seemingly got is you saying 2019 class is important to continue the success, but to me in order to continue it has to have gotten there and to me sophomore class is largely responsible for that.

When we look back at 2017-2018 season the sophomore class was responsible for about 67% of contributions statistically...I don’t think when we look back at the 2020-2021 season will the 2019 class have nearly that same percentage of contributions, that’s all I am saying.

I removed Lecque, Cockburn, Wilson and Jitoboh...was considering also removing Kira Lewis but for now I left him.

Recent articles from 247 on Marcus Watson & KyKy Tandy...

Tennessee is a factor for both, GT is pushing hard for Watson so if Tennessee doesn’t make him a priority that could hurt Vols chances. Similarly Tandy has said Cincinnati has made him a top priority and that they are recruiting him the hardest, however he says Tennessee is right there and that the possibility for playing for Barnes who has put multiple PG’s into the league is a big positive.

Why you remove Lecque

Just acknowledging the list. Seems like we are really fishing in some good waters. Gotta boat some fish though.

Oh I agree...I think we land Mann, Gaines, Burns(2018)...and then you see us swing for the fence on James/Stewart. I think playing it that way likely costs us any chance with Lewis or Watson, and maybe we can stick around with Tandy but I’m not sure.

Hate to miss on some top 100 guys in hopes of landing a couple 1 and dones but if we already have Mann and Burns in the fold then I can understand that strategy.

Well it would be 1, not a couple...if those 3 were in the boat you’ve got 1 spot left for fall so it would be 1 if James/Stewart fwiw.
