No need for a QB ....... we got one in Salter. He's the real deal. Rated 3rd best in a dual-threat QB...

It's more of a hedging issue. One proven JUCO veteran, up and comer still relatively inexperienced Bailey and the new guy Salter trying to learn system ASAP.

And I expect as a minimum JG and one or both of Maurer and Strout to transfer.

It's been rough watching this class melt from 2nd to 15th nationally.

That’s more because we had 20 commits when everyone else had many less. Player average has always been mid-tier. It is what it is. We were not the recruiting National Champs many claimed to be.

Nope.... but AP put to rest that fan reactions do not have impact on recruits when he REPORTED that Brooks was NOW unlikely to sign today due to him seeing the rock on internet and other fan reactions negative to Pruitt. Every team has Negas and I lived and worked with several from 1980 to 2009 when I worked out of Huntsville...... and yes some of their fans helped UT and other teams with negative reactions to their woes, especially in the MIKEx3 era.... does not mean we have to pay the competition back and discourage our own targets. Gunters is in reverence to where I lived half of those years, Guntersville..... more famous for fishing than football.

Yeah. It is the fans' fault for expecting a well paid coach to do his job... couldn't have anything to do with that coach, right?

Take the fans out of the equation and opposing recruiters have 99% of the negative recruiting material they have right now.

Want to talk about "self inflicted wounds"... we can talk about Pruitt's mismanagement of the QB position and the lack of progress by his D and even the underperformance by one of the most talented OL's in CFB.

So that is supposed to excuse fans recklessly putting stuff out on the internet in the days leading up to signing day? Not buying it. Fans are supposed to be fanatic supporters of a team.... nothing supportive about the referenced actions....

Obviously the fan base has an effect on a lot of things. If fans hadn't of lost their minds when it looked like we hired Schiano...he would be our head coach...and honestly we'd be better off record wise.... but the fans...social media definitely have an effect on how things go down on Rocky Top.

Pruitt could very well end up being a good HC. He does need more time. Just not sure he will get it. Wish we'd gotten him instead of Doolander, honestly.
