*****2020 Early Signing Day Thread Tracker (19)

Brooks, Lewis and Marley would be good if we can get them to sign later. He then needs to add 5-6 transfers. I am not worried about QB anymore. Just add transfers in the DL, OL, TE, DB positions.

It's us or Auburn. When it's down to us and the tigers, my money is on Rodney no matter what the head coaching situation is like.

Us or Aub for who?

Their board doesn’t seem to think they have much of a shot with Brooks.

Lewis may have intended signing there but they don’t have a HC and he’s signing Saturday with UT or Maryland and announcing Jan 2.

15 in the house........

WHO DO ADD TO THIS CLASS from the following?

From the tracker

EXPECTED TO SIGN

Kaemen Marley
De'Shawn Rucker
Issac Washington [EE] [signing Friday 3:00 PM]

QUESTIONABLE OR EXPECTED TO SIGN LATER

Roc Taylor
Dylan Brooks
Terrence Lewis (not presently committed)
Colby Smith
Jordan Mosley [signing 2/3]

Any other proposed signees?????

Transfers???

Share what you got....

Also how many can/should we take in this class?

My wish list would be
1. Lewis
2. Brooks
3. Taylor

Which in theory puts us at 21.

Coach O is going to be gone quicker that Pruitt. LSU is going on serious probation above this self inflicted preemptive stuff they just did to try and get the NCAA off them. I've never seen a national title team go into the tank in 1 season like this. They are done!
Also have several potential sexual harassment issues that they have tried to cover up...

Nope.... but AP put to rest that fan reactions do not have impact on recruits when he REPORTED that Brooks was NOW unlikely to sign today due to him seeing the rock on internet and other fan reactions negative to Pruitt. Every team has Negas and I lived and worked with several from 1980 to 2009 when I worked out of Huntsville...... and yes some of their fans helped UT and other teams with negative reactions to their woes, especially in the MIKEx3 era.... does not mean we have to pay the competition back and discourage our own targets. Gunters is in reverence to where I lived half of those years, Guntersville..... more famous for fishing than football.
Just fished on that lake for the first time this year. Really enjoyed it..

The only thing Pruitt has proven to date is his ability to recruit well.

It's been rough watching this class melt from 2nd to 15th nationally.

Hope he and his staff close strong. Seems all we have these days is just hope.
We were never really 2nd. We had just signed more in the spring than other teams which put our total points 2nd. It was a misleading ranking.

I'll say only a couple things. I don't want Brooks on our team if it means Pruitt is the head coach. Period end of story. Brooks can't make Pruitt a better coach and I wish him the best as he pursues a meaningful career at a school that can provide him the opportunity to succeed which Pruitt cannot do.

Second, I still don't buy it. The whole rock thing sounds like a convenient excuse. He was planning on going somewhere else and this was an easy thing to throw out there to save face.

If fans aren't allowed to demand a change of coaching when the coach clearly can't do his job then recruiting simply doesn't matter because we have much bigger problems.

I am a very fanatical supporter of Tennessee football and NOT Jeremy Pruitt.

Honestly, I'm elated how the day turned out! I typically check the RF multiple times a day, but I've been scared to death to look at it for the last month. Salter had been public about being solid. Other than that, I wasn't so sure considering how the season has unfolded and I haven't been checking in. I was expecting a lot more to at least hold off and wait. Willis, K. Evans, C. Brown, Merrill, Nixon, etc were very good gets. Quite frankly, I'm surprised they all put pen to paper today. More proof that Tennessee recruits itself to a large extent.

Pruitt's best case scenario is either keep TaM game close or win (would be a shock), and IF go to a bowl, win that. Use time to show audition/potential of air game w/ young QB's, and hope to bring over some TE/WR's in the transfer portal. We need some difference maker burners or Juan Jennings type in WR/TE game.

With all that is going on, he did a decent job of holding the class together. We should all want that to happen....If he lands Brooks, Lewis and 1 or 2 surprises, plus a few grad transfers this is a good class. I think one way or another, by Monday we should know if he is back next year. That will help with stability of the program.

Should’ve checked in more. Pretty much all the ones you listed publicly reaffirmed their commitments on a few different occasions

It doesn't even have to be grad transfers, it will be an open portal to greatness for 2021.

Not to rain on your parade, but so was Guarantano when he came out of high school.
Yeah but he played ball in NJ. Sorry but it’s just not big boy HS football. Big difference between that and playing in TX and probably part of why he was way overrated

Obviously the fan base has an effect on a lot of things. If fans hadn't of lost their minds when it looked like we hired Schiano...he would be our head coach...and honestly we'd be better off record wise.... but the fans...social media definitely have an effect on how things go down on Rocky Top.
I don’t think Schiano would have worked. There’s some reason nobody but Rutgers wanted to hire him
