2020 Presidential Race

Yes. He was qualified and impressive. Also, a statesman. He simply wasn't the president we needed at that time in history.
Ok sure I guess on the front end. Frankly similar to W then, hey we was Governor of one of the largest states in the union and controlled one of the stand alone largest economies.

Both are lacking in the lens of history. W can never be forgiven for the Patriot Act.

Bush is on par with Romney politically. For some reason, I am more critical of candidates whose family business is politics.

I think Carter is the most impressive former president in how he chose to serve after the WH.

I think you could take the list back another 100 years and not be any more impressed.
Who were the impressive and well qualified candidates?

Eisenhower was a big part, maybe the biggest part, of an operation that defeated fascism and freed people from its death camps.

He and George Washington might be the only candidates who were overqualified for the job.

Carter is an amazing individual whom I respect and believe to intelligent and a highly moral individual and I still feel that way... and was an absolute train wreck as a president. 🤷‍♂️

When I retire and have more time on my hands I’m going to get active again in Habitat for Humanity. It’s very satisfying volunteer work especially if you have some skills and I do. Carter is largely responsible for that program.

Remember when you asked how the right would react to a Biden win? You just answered your own question by acknowledging that it's avoidable given an outcome. 👍
It's on a continuum. Trump wins big massive rioting is justified. Trump wins a close one, mega rioting is justified like burn the whole city down rioting. Biden wins no rioting is justified.

I agree a tremendous person but not a great president.

"There's going to be a massive wave of Trump voters, but we can only count their votes until midnight" makes total sense.

I'm not sure how people can see stuff like this and really argue that Trump will simply accept defeat. If he loses, he's going to get incredibly conspiratorial.
