2020 Presidential Race

I hope he doesn't. I want to watch him dragged out of the White House kicking and screaming on national television.
He will leave but I hope he never calls China's b***h to concede nor should he meet with him like traditionally has been done. He's not a legitimate president

There must be a way to provide verification, double verification, triple verification. Email everyone a receipt, have them acknowledge, then forward to multiple locations. When count is done, compare the lists to be sure.

I am confident we are collectively smart enough to come up with a way to do this that is even more secure than currently.

Remember the ACA website?

The easiest and most sure way to restore faith in our elections is to eliminate absentee ballots for anyone not in .gov service and require in person voting. Make election day a 4 day event, a Thu, Fri, Sat and Sunday. Tabulate all of the votes starting on Monday and announce winners on Friday.

Approximate tax day and election day. File taxes and vote on same form. IRS already has scanners, and software to check for errors, duplicates, anomalies, etc.
Those not required to file can vote through current methods or file a vote with IRS without filing taxes.

Not necessarily but I definitely am not a fan of those 43 people in Wyoming and the DAkota's collectively having 3x the representation in Senate than the 40 million Americans in California.
Then maybe California should secede and be their own nation? I mean, if their needs aren't being met by the Union, I have no problem with them being their own country.

A Union should serve all. And the Union isn't of people, but of states.

This would be a great way to do it.

So maybe im off on this, but if we go forward with this mail in crap here's my solution. Start mailing ballots out a week before early voting starts. Start counting mail in ballots when early voting begins and count all the way through. Give all ballots a tracking number that can be tracked to see if they arrived in time. Any ballot that has not been received by Election Day will be thrown out and that person must then vote in person.

Heres why I think this, early voting starts 20 days before the election, if ballots are sent out a week ahead that gives those who vote by mail 27 days to get the vote in by Election Day. If a person cant take 10 minutes in a 4 week span to fill out a ballot and get it through the mail then it most likely doesn't mean enough to them to vote. If these rules are set in advance then nobody has a right to complain if their ballot did not arrive in time.

I'd bet the difference in vote total between Biden and Trump is probably mostly California if not all.

It seems you want the minority of lifestyles to win the day. Seems like you want policies that only benefit population hubs because you currently agree with it and it seems you want the laws and policies to have drastic changes in a short amount of time that could cripple the country. The EC is there so drastic changes are universally agreed to and a significant part of the population isn't disenfranchised or oppressed by the current majority. The EC is a part of a checks and balance system so 51% that lives in less than 10% of the country doesn't out weigh an entire 49% every 4 years. The country is too big and diverse. You're asking for a civil war with your stupidity. It is necessary in a diverse country to limit a majority into placing limited policies that will disenfranchise on minorities without those checks. That check existing in one small section of one branch isn't enough to deter it. So another one exists in the executive. Your problem is that you are speaking through the lens of agreeing with "the majority" and you can't put yourself in the shoes of a farmer, a miner, a rural resident, a Cuban immigrant, etc. Who may disagree.

It sad the critical thinking in this country these days is piss poor. We used to be united on freedom and now we are divided in the name of power and power only. This invites oppression and the checks and balances are designed to thwart that oppression.
Civil war because the majority rules. New York and LA don’t have the % of the US population that you guys think.

It’s not hard to understand. It’s just not popular here. The “few cities deciding the election” is also a myth. New York/LA/etc. don’t have anywhere near the amount of people to rule the over the country.
It’s pretty simple. The people who hate switching to the popular vote know that if we did, Republicans in their current ideology would never win another presidential election. I’m torn on the issue myself. I see both sides but the right only cares for one reason only.

Election Day should be a national holiday, everyone besides those who are first responders and other needed personnel should get off work. That way nobody has an excuse not to go vote.
