2020 Presidential Race

Here I’ll show you this. And it actually supports what we’ve all been saying that the smaller states won’t agree to EC abolishment as opposed to your data not really supporting your claims.

1. What is your point with this?

2. This is certainly not the most recent presidential voting map, you cherry picking doofus lol

Again, a majority citizen vote does not get rid of the EC. 38 states would have to ratify a Constitutional Amendment to get rid of the EC.
For a constitutional amendment, yes. To abolish the winner-take-all format for each state, no.

It’s not a “non starter”, it’s small states with disproportionate power obviously refusing to yield that disproportionate power.

Also, if addressing it through legal means that aren’t forbidden in the constitution, how is that not “within the rules?”

Sounds like it is within the rules, you just don’t like the rules. You can’t be a selective constitutional absolutist dummy lol
No. Its 50 equal peer states that had to find a reason to give up the individual status and join the Republic. It’s working exactly as intended. Suck it Trebeck

Nah I’m standing pat. To paraphrase

“ I don’t have a problem with them contesting the result but my problem is why are they still contesting the result”

🤡

Or - like I said - I’m fine with them investigating irregularities. I am not fine with Trump falsely claiming he won when the votes say otherwise. Nor am I fine with his cult following believing it when there has been no proof.

It’s dangerous for a sitting POTUS to actively and aggressively seek to undermine the faith in our election process. There are already too many conspiracies in this country. And way too much stupid. I mean hell, you can’t even comprehend what I’m saying when it’s right there in black and white.

If you want to claim he won, prove it.

“Soon”.......🤡

I’d honestly like to see the winner takes all done away with.
I’d be interested in seeing a study on a proportional EC vote but I’m not in favor of its abolishment. The smaller states voice would be drowned out by the high population states and that goes against the good will offered in getting them to join the Union.

But again every state has this option today in their own legislatures. Only two NE and MA chose to split. I’d guess there is a rationale behind that

Meh... Garbage in. Garbage out.
I've already stated that the recount doesn't matter.......Trump and Trumpers will still claim it was rigged.
The court cases do not matter.......Trump and Trumpers will still claim it was rigged.

That was known all along. Trump will not concede and he will not transfer power as have all other presidents before.
The fact many of you claimed he would proves the level of delusion.

I’ve made no claim. Go read and find it Cletus.

And yeah I’ll stick with my summary of your foot stomping

🤡

People need to get their thougts off of 'each person's vote" for the president and move back to how the system is set up. Each PERSON elects their representative. Each state's representative delegates a vote for the President, who is tasked to serve the interest of all 50 states--i.e. via serving with the state representatives that voted him in.

To do away with the EC would fundamentally change that structure and rob states of representation by the President. If we had a popular vote, a few states would elect the President and by definition that few states would be served by him.

Doing away with the EC is a HORRIBLE idea for our country, and it would be a sure way of starting a 2nd Civil War.

I don’t know about counties, why wouldn’t states just split up their counties to gain more influence? It could be congressional districts like I think ME and NE did I believe. Again, that’s open to gerrymandering though.
No matter how they split it, each individual state retains the electorate count apportioned by the Constitution, so they're not gaining or losing influence.

It would require some thought but maybe a simple percentage of vote split

The votes don't say anything at this point. They are contested and the election results have not been validated.

It's dangerous to this country to have Biden claiming to be our President-elect when he may not end up being. As you say, we have too many conspiracy theories already.
