2020 Presidential Race

Or...perhaps it was just due to a record turnout and the sheer volume of Americans who simply want trump gone??
I think it has more to do with the 30 to 40 million increase of mail in ballots and the inadequate checks and balances in preventing fraud with those ballots. Plus rule changes were initiated by Democrats which further increaseD the opportunities for fraud including extending the time to receive ballots and eliminating the requirement to match signatures..

Did you read the link?

Yeah I read the link. But the post you replied to was factually accurate and direct quotes from what was said in court. It was a post where the lawyer said they were not alleging fraud, it didn’t say anything about all those ballots. I admittedly could be misunderstanding what you’re saying.

Mhmmm. Has to be the democrats and fraud. No way trump sh!t the bed that badly during the last 4 years, correct?

Y’all act like it wasn’t expected that we would have a massive turnout for the election. Like where you been all year to not understand that would happen?
I see why there would be a record turnout for Trump with the enthusiasm for the candidate evidenced by the unheard attendance at his campaign rallies. However everyone knew the enthusiasm for Biden was below par, even the liberal networks were talking about it. Let’s face it, the mail in ballots were ripe for fraud and the Democrats made countless moves this year to enable that fraud potential.

Recently? I know he said it years ago, but I've not heard it said recently. Most of the cry for popular vote came from the left after the 2016 election.
Most of the cry for EC came from slave states years ago... and here we are.

Right...because voting should be based on the number of knuckleheads with mullets that show up at trump rallies...

Dude - in general - the majority of the people who voted for Biden were not gonna show up to a rally because they believe Covid is real and didn’t want to take any unneeded risks.

You’re also underestimating the dislike for Trump. He is a big reason why so many more people voted in this election.

I offered clarification from Trump and his legal team. You, BB and others keep harping on the minutia of that claim. Trump and his legal team clarified that they refined the verbiage of the claim while confirming that they are still claiming the totality of the votes were processed illegally.
"Factually accurate" is another way of saying, "technically, we didn't lie but our argument was intellectually dishonest"?

Lol. Bs. Had there not been unsolicited mail in ballots making it so effortless for the ignorant and lazy it wouldn’t have been close. The dims knew what they were doing and everyone knew it would be a sh*t show. The fearmongering over a virus with a 99%+ survival rate as reason to not show up in person was dumb but they also don’t support any type of real voting security so this was an even better ploy. Do they not believe masks work?

Easy there, chief. If we don't allow the ignorant to vote we'd be reducing those 70million trump votes by quite a few.

Clark and Washoe have 87.5% percent of the people in Nevada. Lots of very hot sand and cacti in the other counties, but vote turnout among those demos remains at 0% generally.

Tl;dr the EC favors the Democrats.

So I finally felt that things were settled enough to break down the EC argument.

As it stands most people think the EC votes dont accurately reflect the will of the people (total popular vote), and further that the EC thus favors the Republican states by a good bit.

Since we have a winner take all, the argument ahouldnt be the EC vs total population, but EC vs winner of that states voters.

An example would be wyoming as the worst case. if wyoming voted all donald, donald would have gotten 1 vote per 86k. But really not all Wyomians voted for Trump. Instead trump gets 1 EC vote per 64k people.

The nation wide average for winners votes per EC they won is 145,610.

As it's an average that means approx half the states are going to be below average.

Of the 22 states (plus DC) below that average, 12 went R, 10 went D. (Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Montanna, Nebraska, North Dakota, south dakota, utah, west virginia, Wyoming) vs (vermont, Rhode island, New York, new mexico, new Hampshire, nevada, maine, hawaii, delaware, DC)

So the Rs got a total of 53 ECs from over represented people. The Democrats got 65 from over represented people.

So while more Republican states gain from the EC; the Dems actually come out ahead in EC votes based on the "favortism" shown by the system.

*I lumped all of Maine and Nebraska under the state even though they split. I think it balances out because the split went both ways, and with such small populations represented it really skewed the average ein votes WAY down, to less than 100k. Which if I kept that it would have been 4 Rs(12ecs), and 5 Ds (14ECs). *

Again this is winners votes in a state vs the EC votes they get from it. Not the total population. The whole population doesnt vote, the whole voting pop doesnt vote for the top 2, and we are winner take all. Except for Maine and Nebraksa.

Which states’ reps advocated for the EC?
The small ones.

Delaware was the smallest with 3. Georgia and New Hampshire had 5, New Jersey 6, South Carolina 7, Connecticut 7.

By my count that's 2 slave states and 4 "non slave" states.

But honestly it's far more complicated than that. Representatives from the same state were often split on the EC.

Huh that's something I didnt know. North Carolina and Rhode Island hadnt adopted the US consitution in time for the first vote.

It's these sorts of bad takes by Giuliani that betray he's just angling for a spot on Trump TV. Trump improved his 2016 numbers by huge amounts in most large metros they've been claiming fraud in. It was the suburbs, not the "inner-city", which did him in.
