Clark and Washoe have 87.5% percent of the people in Nevada. Lots of very hot sand and cacti in the other counties, but vote turnout among those demos remains at 0% generally.

Tl;dr the EC favors the Democrats.
So I finally felt that things were settled enough to break down the EC argument.
As it stands most people think the EC votes dont accurately reflect the will of the people (total popular vote), and further that the EC thus favors the Republican states by a good bit.
Since we have a winner take all, the argument ahouldnt be the EC vs total population, but EC vs winner of that states voters.
An example would be wyoming as the worst case. if wyoming voted all donald, donald would have gotten 1 vote per 86k. But really not all Wyomians voted for Trump. Instead trump gets 1 EC vote per 64k people.
The nation wide average for winners votes per EC they won is 145,610.
As it's an average that means approx half the states are going to be below average.
Of the 22 states (plus DC) below that average, 12 went R, 10 went D. (Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Mississippi, Montanna, Nebraska, North Dakota, south dakota, utah, west virginia, Wyoming) vs (vermont, Rhode island, New York, new mexico, new Hampshire, nevada, maine, hawaii, delaware, DC)
So the Rs got a total of 53 ECs from over represented people. The Democrats got 65 from over represented people.
So while more Republican states gain from the EC; the Dems actually come out ahead in EC votes based on the "favortism" shown by the system.
*I lumped all of Maine and Nebraska under the state even though they split. I think it balances out because the split went both ways, and with such small populations represented it really skewed the average ein votes WAY down, to less than 100k. Which if I kept that it would have been 4 Rs(12ecs), and 5 Ds (14ECs). *
Again this is winners votes in a state vs the EC votes they get from it. Not the total population. The whole population doesnt vote, the whole voting pop doesnt vote for the top 2, and we are winner take all. Except for Maine and Nebraksa.
