That wasn't the reason. They were considered worthy to choose their own representatives in the house. There's no indication that logic would have been different if the President had been considered their personal representative in the Executive Branch. That's the difference. he wasn't. They had their representative in the house.
I see why there would be a record turnout for Trump with the enthusiasm for the candidate evidenced by the unheard attendance at his campaign rallies. However everyone knew the enthusiasm for Biden was below par, even the liberal networks were talking about it. Let’s face it, the mail in ballots were ripe for fraud and the Democrats made countless moves this year to enable that fraud potential.
The Electoral College was put in place because the leaders at that time thought the majority of people weren't smart enough to put the correct people in place to run the country. It was about control. They had to insure that the people couldn't vote in some zealot that got them whipped up into a frenzy. The electors were hand picked so they knew they would try and do the right thing. It's a shell of what it originally was.It didn’t? Enlighten me.
I guess 2% is the new normal - Barry Hussein.Rather enlightening that some think Obama's presidency was abysmal and that trump's was excellent.
