If they really work how come so many of the Mayors/Governors that are demanding them being caught not wearing them in public? Not to mention the ones that got caught traveling during Thanksgiving after demanding no travel or familys meeting for their TG meal.

It wasn’t related to the tweet. That’s correct. It was related to the proposal that Section 230 be repealed.

How will that change the current status quo? How would that end the practice that BM (seems an appropriate abbreviation) was complaining about?

Politicians are special; they don't feel the need to abide by the same rules they set on others. To be honest I'm not sure politicians believe in masks any more that a lot of other people, but they have to play the game and look proactive. I'd guess if they really believed there would be a real effort to teach people how to use masks and which masks actually work.

Coming from a nuclear environment and having worn protective gear - and having been taught how to wear it. I tend to believe in protective measures. My wife had covid - and it wasn't anything near asymptomatic; I wore masks while taking care of her and didn't get it. She's several months down the road now and still doesn't have much sense of taste or smell. Who is to say that asymptomatic people never had covid - they just had false positives. It's not my place to tell others what to do, but I certainly believe in mask use, and I sincerely wish there was better information about which masks are actually effective.

I have a suspicion that the hypocrisy doesn’t end with just the higher profile politicians. If you know what I mean...

I don’t think 230 should be repealed. I’ve not offered any statement to that affect. But your question still didn’t address what the gripe was in the post regardless on whether enforcing or repealing 230(c) was the conclusion. This had nothing to do with publishing parallel content.
