A Trump administration official tells Axios that the cyber attack on the U.S. government and corporate America, apparently by Russia, is looking worse by the day - and secrets could still be stolen in ways not yet discovered.

It is not normal that the White House has not released a statement concerning something this serious in the 5 days since these reports broke. I'm not talking about reprisals, or even a direct response to Russia. How about some acknowledgment that the leadership of the United States government is aware of this story, and they are at least looking into it? Even Fox News has picked up the story now. For some reason, the White House doesn't want to go near it. I don't think they can hide from this for another month.

Had China been responsible for this? Trump and his minions in Congress would be tripping over each other to talk about it.

It's the Friday before the week of Christmas... perfect time for a news dump of pardons. For all the confidence he is expressing on Twitter, for overturning the results of the presidential election, Trump is not conducting himself like someone who expects to still be on the job in 5 weeks.

Is there any doubt that if China was believed to be responsible for such an incursion, that Trump would be tweet storming about it right now? For one reason or another, I think it's fair to say that Trump does not want to ever be critical of Putin and Russia. Trump is very careful not to accuse Russia of anything. He simply doesn't want to ruffle Putin's feathers... but why? This is beyond strange.

If the news media is reporting what "Trump Administration Officials" are saying isn't it logical that they are aware?

Why do you guys need public statements?

Quite simply, really. When one person controls the economic activity of an entire country, it is wise to not ruffle that person's feathers. DJT's economic viability is exponentially enhanced when can promote to the largest audience possible.

This is a joke. They did bring suit before the election, the Court said it was too early.

You have yet to provide any proof for your assertions that the record low ballot rejection rate was legitimate other than the State said so and I believe them.

Like I said, if China was believed to be responsible for such a bold and aggressive cyber attack against both the American government and American corporate entities, Trump would be tweeting non-stop about it right now.... but because it's his buddy Putin - we get nothing but the sound of crickets chirping.

An aggressive statement needs to be made. The country needs it. The world needs to see it. BTW, caring what our allies think of us is an entirely different matter than giving a damn what the guy down the street thinks of you.

Those are not my words. Those are the words of Judge Brett Ludwig (who was an appointee of President Donald Trump), while he was laughing Trump's legal team out of court.

You continue to miss a fundamental point: I'm not the one who has to prove something. That responsibility rests with the plaintiffs (the people who are filing the complaints). Those people are comprised of Trump's legal representation. They have proven nothing.
