2020 Presidential Race

I asked because last night someone was telling me about the "huge" gathering that is supposed to happen there. "Millions."

What, specifically, is going to be "fixed" because of whatever is supposed to happen on January 6? Congress counts the electoral votes that were cast.
The GOP will come clean and tell America that they no longer support democracy, but they now want to put into place an authoritarian system.

This election will fundamentally change this country forever. In a good way. There's a great awakening happening and it won't stop.

This is ridiculous. Anything which needed to be debated should have already been argued in a federal court. Over the course of the last 6 weeks the Trump legal representation has had multiple opportunities to make their case for voter fraud in the 2020 Presidential election. In one case, they stood before a Trump-appointed Judge, Stephanos Bibas, and didn't even argue that fraud had occurred in Pennsylvania... despite insisting that it had while giving interviews on Fox News.

Trying to overturn the results of a Presidential election by way of Congress, instead of through our courts, is not Constitutional. It also sets a bad precedent for future elections. Republicans will not like it when a Democratic Party nominee follows Trump's blue print for how to behave like a spoiled brat after losing a Presidential election... and if American politics has taught us anything, it's that what goes around comes around.
Just because you're ignorant of the law, doesn't mean something shouldn't happen. This has happened before and is very constitutional. Even your democrat saviors have used it.

You are referring to the 2004 Presidential election and objections made by former Sen. Barbara Boxer (California) and others regarding the closing of polling locations in Ohio, just prior to the election. That's fine. We aren't talking about the same thing. I'm talking about Rep. Louie Gohmert's (1st District - Texas) law suit against Vice President Mike Pence, and the attempt by Republicans to force Pence to use unilateral power to overturn the result of a democratically held Presidential election. That would be unconstitutional... not to mention, an incredible conflict of interest for a VP to be granted the power to unilaterally determine the outcome of his own election. Does that sound like democracy to you?

It is unconstitutional and nothing will come of it. However, you were condemning those objecting which is a very lawful thing to do.

It is lawful. There just isn't any basis for it. Trump's legal representation has had plenty of opportunities to make their case for voter fraud in the 2020 Presidential election... and they haven't done it. What Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell, Jenna Ellis and Lin Wood will argue in court is completely different than what they will argue on a cable news network. That is very telling about what their true agenda is here.

What will be different in the 2024 election than the one last month? Use North Carolina as an example.
Now that the curtain has been drawn and all the corruption has been exposed, you guys are going to really hate the politicians with R beside their name in the future.

False.

"The President of the Senate shall, in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall then be counted;"

There is no discretion on whether the official electors will be counted.

Just what I thought. You've got no specific changes to the electoral process.

The basis is that this can't be hidden from the American public by big tech or the MSM. In the end your illegitimate candidate will most likely be certified. Those that support this election being free and fair will have to put their name on record as doing so. As far as how the populous takes how it all plays out is a wildcard.

There is no "disputed vote". The states have already certified their results and chosen electors based on those results. Those electors have already cast their votes, as required by law, for the candidate who won the popular vote in their respective states. The process of casting votes is over. All that remains is for the Vice President to verify that count... which Pence will do - Biden 306 Trump 232 is what the vote from the electoral college says and it will stand. Jason D. Meister (whoever the hell that is) is full of $hit and making this more complicated than what it is.

The only thing Republicans can do is throw a tantrum. They cannot change the outcome.

Dude I get it, you hate Trump. This is so much bigger then he is. The thing is in the future every politician with an R next to their name will be portrayed as a Trump. It's going to suck for you.

Can you imagine if we were a country where the Vice President had the power to unilaterally determine the outcome of their own election? Does that sound like democracy? Is that really what Republicans want? Will they want Kamala Harris to have that same power in 4 years? I can't help but feel like some of these idiots like Rep. Louie Gohmert and Rep. Jim Jordan, aren't thinking this through very clearly.

There are terrible things out there that are going to be fixed!

You keep posting this lie. A few republicans want this. Single digits most likely.
