2020 Presidential Race

I'm curious how this is supposed to work. Theres already a process for congressional disputes over the election, and it involves members of the house and senate presenting formal written objections, and then they hold a vote on it where both chambers have to agree that the objection is valid. The VP may get a vote on it but it doesn't appear that he can unilaterally decide to not count any votes. Why should anyone think otherwise?

Also, since when does a state send "dueling electoral votes"? The states will send legitimate results, which will be counted, and perhaps some other organization will send illegitimate ones, which won't.

Dude, stop before you give yourself a heart attack. Nothing is going to happen.

He is not giving himself a heart attack. Who knows what will come of it, but the President and factions within the Republican Party are inciting sedition. They are trying to overturn a recounted, certified election, and that is a real concern.

The Republic is already dead and you do not even realize it. Tens of Trillions of dollars on the table in the everlasting thirst for power, by both parties.
I am quite surprised there has not been some mega lawsuit advocating the rights of the 10th Amendment.

I don't think a court would accept a 10th Amendment lawsuit by a lowly citizen; they've tailored "standing" to a very keen edge and can lop off challenges with no effort at all. The judicial branch is the most worrisome branch of all when it comes to our rights ... and the closest governmental body we've got to a true dictatorship.

I've noticed that AM64 is seldom wrong by degrees other than 180.

I dont know dude. I aint Lawgator. Just thought it interesting and thought provoking. Votes dont count, only the people who count the votes.

You all cheated and you don’t care because orange man bad, so let’s not pretend you communists care about democracy, the constitution or the country. Your side spent 4 years trying to overturn the results of the 2016 election so safe your lecture for someone who GAF. The corrupt dementia patient is going to take office in Jan that won’t change but he should be investigated, impeached and tossed in prison but of course none of those will happen. He’s illegitimate and I will never recognize him or his slut as leaders of our once great country. Screw them and I hope they fail at every turn.
Literally nothing you are saying here is actually true.

So much hate in your heart

LOL ... I don't know how you got hate from that post. Being a lunatic Jackass Biden supporter is your choice. But that's cute coming from the king of haters (Democrats) that you support and defend. You're the one that supports the Party of hate & division if you didn't know that already.. You like to live in denial of the corrupt Democratic Party.
You're the one that supports the Party of burning & looting of American cities. Not I. You're the one that hates other innocent Americans just because they disagree w/your idiot Democratic policies & your corrupt politicians.... but you blame the other side as the problem when it's you & Democrats that want to burn it all down.

Just to be clear on how Republicans think this should all go down next week:

Republicans want the Vice President, Mike Pence (who was obviously on the ballot himself), to unilaterally disregard the will of the American voters, as well as the will of the electors assigned to represent the result of their popular vote in each state, and hand pick his own set of electors from states he narrowly lost, who will in turn vote to keep him in office...

Basically, they want to dismantle the democratic system of elections in the United States, while also performing the single greatest conflict of interest the world has ever seen - a Vice President single-handedly overturning the results of an election in order to stay in office.

That is something you might expect to see in a banana republic, but you wouldn't, because it's too much of an abuse of power, even for a banana republic.

American presidents, or men who became the American president who Johnny Carson either ridiculed and/or called a liar:

Richard Nixon (Watergate... enough said)

Gerald Ford (didn't actually call him a liar, but frequently ridiculed him for his public clumsiness)

Ronald Reagan (for claiming ignorance of the sale of arms to Iran)

Bill Clinton (for claiming that he didn't inhale when he smoked marijuana)

I guess Biden is in good company, right?

Pence doesn't want to be in the middle of a crisis. He's basically a coward like the rest of DC - people who are where they are and have no intention of doing anything to rock the boat.
This isn't a crisis. Every challenge has been laughed at by the courts. Voter machine companies are threatening lawsuits and media companies, including OAN Fox and newsmax, are issuing retractions. There was no grand conspiracy. Oh and if there was, The Who just lost should have stopped it. Bye bye Donnie.

This is another untrue statement. A few Republicans want this, very few. Most know that this is unconstituional much like the logan act. Nevertheless, this is another VN doozy of a lie.
