I think people do the direct opposite. No one questions his ability to draw out his Red Hats. I definitely don't dismiss them, his base is solid. If they haven't abandoned him yet, they aren't going to by 2020.I don’t know what people are thinking when they put down the number of people Trump can draw to a rally and dismiss them . This isn’t a small crowd and it’s in Cincinnati Ohio . Not Georgia or Tennessee or Mississippi .
I think the past couple of nights solidified Biden as the front-runner.
However, he doesn't seem to have the stamina to stand up to Trump.

That's why I've said the Democrats best chance is turning out their base. There aren't many left in the independent category to pull from to make up the difference.
Trump's base is going to show up no matter what. Question is whether a moderate Democratic nominee can get progressives to the polls en mass. Or centrist Dems, if the nominee is a progressive candidate.
The problem I see is standing on the national stage telling everyone that we are going to raise your taxes , give healthcare to illegal immigrants and kill fossil fuels . I don’t how much you know about unions but you can’t do those things and then ask for the union vote .
The leftists are alienating their base. LolI think people do the direct opposite. No one questions his ability to draw out his Red Hats. I definitely don't dismiss them, his base is solid. If they haven't abandoned him yet, they aren't going to by 2020.

Did Trumka endorse Trump last time?
The only plans I've heard about raising taxes on the middle class (which would include union workers) is if those taxes resulted in single payer healthcare (the Bern). I think providing health care to undocumented workers comes down to personal opinion; I don't think union voters are a monolithic block. Some will support it, others won't.The problem I see is standing on the national stage telling everyone that we are going to raise your taxes , give healthcare to illegal immigrants and kill fossil fuels . I don’t know without looking it up . I do know the upper management of unions will and has always voted for Dems believing they were for the working man . That was before the climate change agendas . You know have all candidates in the Dem party openly saying they will kills fossil fuel jobs .
I remember him saying some positive things about Trump, but actual endorsement probably not as you mentioned. I wonder if miners are part of AFL-CIO. Some labor unions in my recollection did not seem to say much last cycle, so it was probably vote as you please. The radicals seem to of moved on from some labor orgs.
Trump just gave out a salute to the great state of Tennessee!
