We also have a shocking number of bankruptcies due to medical debt, with over 500 thousand a year in the middle of an economic expansion, which directly affects this tally.

Is that a win for the liberal view? Maybe.

As usual, the politicos will lie by not giving us the full picture and pointing fingers. That is the easiest thing to do when faced with complex problems with complex solutions you can't sound bite in an attack ad or copypasta in an online meme war.

But the truth is, most countries are failing their people as bad or worse than America. We can't just emulate them and be OK as man yon the left think.

Many of the Democratic Party's presidential contenders blundered this week by rallying to the defense of Rev. Al Sharpton after he was blasted on Twitter by President Trump, op-eds in the Washington Post and New York Times argued.

Writing in the Post's Opinion section, Seth Mandel, executive editor of the Washington Examiner magazine, took the candidates, including Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Bill de Blasio, to task, saying their praise of the self-styled civil rights leader should earn them "a massive moral demerit."

This has worked in Alaska for decades in a deep red state and no one there opposes it. It's about 1/6th of the 12,000 a year though so it isn't quite on the same level. They get an oil dividend every year. Also UBI is more of a Libertarian idea than a Socialist one. The idea of citizens making their finical choices and not the government. If it was a socialist one the government would hand you the money and say you have to spend it on food (foodstamps), spend it on housing (section 8), and a long list of other social programs.

It'd be the trickle up economy instead of the trickle down. Seems like no one cares when the large corporations like Amazon pay 0 and get all the tax cuts, but as soon as you want to give it to the citizens it becomes socialism.
