2020 Presidential Race

Biden is a union man. He will do just fine with working class voters. And how Trump did in 2016 is relevant... the point is that the Democratic nominee just needs to win every state Clinton won and find about 100,000 votes across three states she lost. There is no miracle needed here.

Biden is a pandering politician he got caught doing it on stage . A “ union man “ doesn’t stand up on stage and tell the unions I’m going to kill off your jobs . That climate agenda is going to catch up with the Dems and bite them in the ass with unions . You are relying on your old democrat ways of the “Dems being for the working man “ the script will flip eventually with all the candidates wanting fossil fuel jobs gone , i just don’t know when . Will be interesting to see it play out .

Like most liberals Bowl bet on people continuing to support destructive policies. It's the typical arrogance from people who believe in the ruling class and big government. They keep the same identity talking points to pit people against each other.
LOL! Do you really want to talk about big government under Trump? Have you seen the latest appropriations bill? Trump isn't tax and spend... there is at least some logic to that. Trump is cut taxes and hyper-spend. And I guess you could call it identity politics except that it's fact-based. You can't ignore trends. The trends (including the 2018 mid-terms) say that black voters are still squarely behind the Democratic Party.

How the hell does that have a damn thing to do with symbolism? The Republican Party has a narrow range of appeal. That is a tangible and quantifiable reality in the voting booth.
It has EVERYTHING to do with this line of discussion. If the black population is employed, and are not falling for symbolic crap like you are espousing, they will vote for Mr Trump. If on the other hand, they fall for identity politics, which is all the Democrat party offers at this point, they will vote for whatever clown you run against Mr Trump. Free this, free that versus actually having jobs.

There is no statistical verification of this... Once again, Trump only received 8% of the black vote in 2016. He will be lucky to even duplicate that in 2020. There is no way he gets 10%.
Then black people will be once again headed to the back of the bus, because you offer nothing other than more government dependence.

That was my thought as well.

Biden wants to kill their jobs, but he's a union man, so the unions will line the lemmings up to vote against their own interests. (PS: Why in the hell would unions want to support the guy who is killing their jobs if the unions truly are for the worker?)

It sounds like that Hillary quote that the average Dem voter is stupid and easy to manipulate.

It's called being blind and a dumb-ass sheep followers as in a true-like cult. If you don't agree to vote like they tell you to they tend to beat people up over it.....violence and intimidation like the Nazi is what Dems preach.

We can be racists... but you're going to have to come up with more sound logic than hog88 did. Trump only received 8% of the black vote in 2016 and that was against a weak candidate. Trump is the same guy who pushed "birther-ism" very aggressively in 2011... There is nothing racist about pointing out how unlikely it is that he gets to 10% of the black vote. Republicans know they aren't getting the black vote, their strategy is always to try and suppress it as much as possible. They need a low black voter turnout to win in states such as Michigan and Pennsylvania. That isn't racist, it's reality.
I love how the holy grail of candidates in 2016 is now considered to be a weak candidate. Well Einstein, nobody you all have on that stage is any better.
I haven't checked your 8% black vote facts for 2016 but I'm going to guess that number may double or triple in 2020.

Can’t happen, BB says the Dems own the black voter. Sounds like he thinks of them as property or something.

Why not? It wouldn't take but a minute. Hillary Clinton received 88% of the black vote, while Trump received 8% (check Pew Research, or hell, anything?). And you are delusional if you think it will even reach 10%.

If black voters don't like the Democratic Party candidate, history tells us they stay at home. They don't vote Republican by any significant numbers. That isn't racist, it's reality.

You're delusional. Blexit is a real thing that wasn't even around at the 2016 election.

I wonder what you would call it if 94% of white voters voted for McCain or Romney and only 6% voted for Obama.
