2020 Presidential Race

Only in a libs brain can attempting undermine the legitimacy of democratic elections be equated to saving democracy
Didn't Donald Trump spend much of the 2016 Presidential campaign telling his supporters to not trust the results of the election (if he lost) ? "The system if rigged, folks!" was a persistently spoken line from Trump during his campaign rallies throughout September and October of 2016. It wasn't meant as a joke, either. Trump's purpose was to undermine the legitimacy of the election and to cast doubt on the validity of the results, so in case he lost, the defeat wouldn't hurt his brand image with his supporters. It was very selfish and egotistical of him.

Trumps purpose was to soften the hit to his ego if he lost. Nothing more or less. It was douche thing to claim though.

The Dem primary was certainly rigged. Very sad state of affairs but unsurprising really. And look how they have acted after losing. Pathetic! And bad for the country!

...but that wasn't what Trump was talking about when he kept saying "The system is rigged, folks!". He was trying to undermine the legitimacy of the Presidential general election in case he lost. It was an ego driven display of immaturity.... and also very bad for the country!

No different than your side foisting a BS insurance policy to explain why you got your ass handed to you.

Don’t be an uncultured, “used” tube sock.
