That Reagan quip even cracked up Mondale. Classic, Dutch.
Your second one was a VP debate (i think). Maybe Benson???? Lloyd Benson?...sounds familiar.
Even you know he has no shot. Maybe in 8 years."Biden edged Warren 17.7%-17.2%, a margin of just 10 votes. Pete Buttigieg finished third, at 14%, and Bernie Sanders placed fourth, with 10% of the vote."

I remember this one. Everyone laughed.
October 21, 1984: In the second presidential debate with candidate Walter Mondale, Reagan was grilled over his age by Henry "Hank" Trewhitt of the Baltimore Sun. "You already are the oldest President in history, and some of your staff say you were tired after your most recent encounter with Mr. Mondale. I recall, yes, that President Kennedy, who had to go for days on end with very little sleep during the Cuba missile crisis. Is there any doubt in your mind that you would be able to function in such circumstances?" Reagan replied, "Not at all, Mr. Trewhitt and I want you to know that also I will not make age an issue of this campaign. I am not going to exploit for political purposes my opponent's youth and inexperience." Trewhitt responded, "Mr. President, I'd like to head for the fence and try to catch that one before it goes over."
Don't we all. I'll be on Medicare myself within a few months, so consider me a Fellow Codger. But still working like heck. My wife keeps telling me, "Keep working, it keeps your mind sharp." Even better, it keeps my wallet fat, which is no mean feat when you've got one young'un at Georgetown and another at Rice. In fact my daughter just got on a plane from Jordan two hours ago, heading to DC (by way of Frankfurt) to start her senior year; and I'm taking my wife to the airport in the morning to go help daughter into her new digs. But Daddio? I gotta stay in Texas and take care of business, take care of the kitties, and deliver Sonny Boy back to Rice on the weekend. Not bad. I still see myself as 35.

Jay Inslee drops out of 2020 presidential race
Some said the same about Trump (including me). He was at 1% in this poll and Jeb! was a shoe-in for the GOP. Things can change rapidly. Your posts about Kamala show this too. She had all the buzz in June and July until Tulsi got ahold of her in debate.Even you know he has no shot. Maybe in 8 years.
