Our electorate has failed us and Trump is fighting daily against a corruption at the highest levels. The more the beltway insiders try to demonize him the more I am inclined to support him. Tariffs absolutely. What’s wrong with fair trade? The deficit was a problem long before he took over. Obama increased it more than all other presidents combined. So check back in 5 years and we’ll see where it is then.

What he's doing vs. China is one area where he actually gets some bipartisan support, even from Schumer.

China has been eating our lunch for years and none of his predecessors had the will to call them on it.

Seems to be hurting the farmers more than anybody.

It could hurt him politically if a new trade agreement is not reached before the election.

But so far he seems willing to risk that and the Chinese, well they may very well win by stalling until after the election.

It's a fu**** travesty for sure, we have got to figure out a way to enact term limits and we have to start really cracking down on all the corruption from political patty cake and lobbyists. What happened to decent people, just simple idealism and volunteer citizens who can't be bribed?

Term limits is a necessary step, but unfortunately if all members of one party vow to follow the same path then the process will likely continue unabated. So you'd rather buy cheap goods because China can play that game rather than have US industry? If you can actually believe that, then perhaps you can answer the question about how the unemployed manage to pay taxes to support social welfare programs. And before getting into "employment has never been better" how can you or anyone honestly believe in a reporting system that drops people from the workforce because they aren't looking for a job or any similar reason?

Agreed on term limits, but not the rest. Nobody told Republicans/conservatives to abandon their principles. They did that all on their own. I know it is popular to make Democrats and progressives the boogeyman for everything, but those on the right made the deal with the devil. This is the direction they pushed the GOP. Don't blame it on some other party, take responsibility for your own house.
