I don't think freshman Striplin will be an upgrade over senior KK. Maybe by the time she's a senior, but the inside game will take a hit with KK leaving. They'll miss her physicality. Similar for Kaiya. Rennia is a Wooden Award candidate and would leave as likely a top 5 WNBA draft pick. Kaiya will not replace that in her first year.

I think next season will go as Rae goes, with Tamari continuing her role as a defensive anchor.

I want to see what Marta look like next season. She has to be somewhat quicker to play in the SEC. Karoline JMO will be more effective player than KK. Wynn and Sara give us some help as freshmen. I think we need a transfer that can start next season. An upperclassmen that plays the three or we could pay Davis more than the WNBA and have her come back. Some say Howard wants to play here. I don't see it but that would solve the problem.

If Karoline can hit a layup Karoline will be a big upgrade from Kasi

The experience factor is the only area that KK brings over Striplin. Of course you can't take that lightly, but comparing them Striplin is the better foul shooter, has more range on her shot, and an equal or better rebounder. There may be an adjustment period but I'm not to worried about replacing KK's minutes Davis is a totally different story.

never understood the Rennia hate and bashing Im legitimately worried about what the hell we are gonna do next year. Rennia Davis is an outstanding player that we took for granted and also somewhat unappreciated by a big portion of this fanbase .....not looking forward to senior night

Not sure who this is? Who is BK?

I agree Karoline will be a major improvement over KK.....Karoline can and will hit the deep 3 ball, and pop the 15 footer, something KK will never do....

Sara will be another player that will be an outside and down low player....

Next season's team will be extremely exciting to watch....

Bk could have a role if she chooses to accept it and that is to speed the ball down court and hit an open player. I think her ball handling skills will come in handy next season. I know she needs some work on her basketball IQ and shooting skills.

I really don't think Walker should come back. She has trouble playing now with that enormous brace on her leg. I wonder if she will want to tough it out another season she is really limited because of that thing she has to wear. I think she would be a very effective player if she had two good knees. I think we will see some roster changes before next season both in transfer and out transfer. I think Green may try to come back don't know how long the injury she has will take to get back to 100 percent. We definitely need a scorer in the Rennia Davis mold to find their way to Tennessee next season.

Yep. We need to attract a scorer from somewhere. Needs to be a name people are familiar with as well. Would help draw some attention and excitement if we could land a big name transfer.

Hoping the incoming class can contribute but would not want for them to HAVE to contribute.

Still a small chance Rennia could return.

Out of Green and Walker I would actually prefer to see Walker return. I’m hopeful that with some great rehabs and access to better sports medicine at UT she might be able to ditch the brace next season. Definitely affects her on both ends of the floor. We have seen how much more mobile Kasi is since she got rid of hers.

We never got to see her in SEC play but I have serious reservations about Green’s ability to contribute. She’s just too small to play back to the basket in the SEC. Hopefully she’s working extremely hard on developing an outside shot while she’s out. At 6’ if she can’t step out and hit the 3 she won’t be much use to us at the 4.

Howard needs to transfer to Tennessee. She would be able to move right in to the starting lineup and make us an SEC contender for the title.

Yep. Very highly doubt that would happen. We gave her two tough games this season though. She’ll be seeing Rae’s face in her dreams for a while. She did contribute better in other ways last night. Felt she got discouraged and just gave up in Knoxville.

I think we’d have a better shot at Rickea Jackson if she elects to transfer. Really would be shocked if she doesn’t leave MSST. She is really being misused there and McCray-Penson doesn’t look organized. Won’t be surprised if they have an exodus of players.

A player I would LOVE to have is Grace Berger. Highly doubt she’d leave Indiana but she’s a dynamic player. She’s put up a few triple doubles this season with pts., Assists and rebounds. Hustles great and seems like the kind of player Kellie really likes.

I think it is highly imperative that if some top talented players get in the portal we must make every effort to get them to Tennessee. Davis is not easy to replace no one on the present roster can do it and freshmen take time other than a very few none of whom are coming here next year.

Seems we can do better in the portal than having Green and Walker back so I’d go that route.

Maybe they did...doesn't mean she would be a significant part of their rotation. Baylor already has Sarah Andrews, Moon Ursin, DiDi Richards, Trinity Oliver, Jordyn Oliver and DiJonai Carrington in their guard rotation. Sounds like they had a scholarship open and they were willing to see if she was a fit...and if not, that was ok because they had no shortage of options.

I think Kellie tried, but once Jaz said she was leaving, she didn't have that much time to find a suitable replacement and Jordan was the best that she could get.

Wow.
Jordan Walker is new to the SEC and last night was a tough one for the entire team. She should work on shooting but I love her aggression and can’t wait to see what’s he looks like with another season or 2 under Kellie and Co. if for any reason Caitlin Clark wanted to transfer out... I wouldn’t be unhappy lol

However, I like this team both the ready of this season and next season. I want to see the continued development of Key and Horston as well as if Burrell takes another step forward. With those three in the starting lineup next year we have a “Big Three” along with Marta, who hopefully will be fully healthy and understand the speed of the game a bit more, we’re fine. I truly believe at least one of the freshmen will come in prepared to make some noise if not more than one. I trust the coaches and they haven’t been wrong thus far in their assessments.
