2021 Lady Vol Recruiting Thread

An excellent class

But don't expect too much movement for this month,,,because, per a google search...:

The NCAA has extended the current recruiting dead period to May 31st, the organization announced today. "The Division I Council Coordination Committee and the Division II Administrative Committee extended the recruiting dead period through May 31
Does this mean a player cannot commit during this period? I understand coaches cannot recruit, but unsure about players contacting coaches with a decision to commit.

Not at all,, the limitation is to the coaches not the players

In fact the ultimate act of allegiance and commitment might be to commit when it is entirely the player's uninfluenced decision

Speaking of I rarely go to the football side. You guys should really check out the thread about what other boards are saying it’s really interesting and was a good read!

I just finished reading the hilarious thread about "Al Wilson's Locker Room Chewing Out of Peyton."

Highly recommend that story. It's a real hoot. Laughed my (head) off. Billy Ratliff and Frd White do a great job recalling the incident. And Fulmer's reaction...just priceless.

May we be developing such Lady Vol leaders (well, maybe with the same passion but slightly less profanity) who lead by word and example!

I have a feeling we are going to sign five and we will be happy because all five will fill our needs nicely. I try not to get too hopeful about who is predicted to sign. We all have our favorites. What is most important to me is that we continue to improve in the position recruited.

Signing a big post should put us in solid shape at the five for a couple of years. I would like to see Emily get work at the four. Emily can stretch a defense out to the arc. But, if we sign a big post, I would lose one of my Fav's. Like them too much!

I really want Puckett. She’s a big shooter who could get lots of looks in the SEC. If we sign her and a PG I’d be happy with the class. Maybe we can get some high-low with her and Striplin.

I'm really hoping these two get a chance to play together. Wish Sara would "make the deal go down"

A little elevation, please....Let’s shoot like there’s a defender there. Expend some energy or go to the house. This is where developing bad habits becomes a risk....

This is a 5 second look in and based on the cones, I think she was working more specifically on dribbling sequence-to-shot transition than on her shot
you and I both know she elevates on her jumpers.
Just look back at some film and you can see this.
But good eye anyway, I am sure when she works specifically on shooting that her focus is then on elevation

This is why I keep reminding people how difficult it is to keep in shape and work out properly without teammates or coaches around to push you. It’s fantastic that Jordan is out there working out — I love it! — but the fact is, without direct competition to stimulate the body and brain it’s never going to be as helpful as actually practicing with/against teammates.

I’m thankful that Jordan is out there trying to keep her body loose and muscles working, but the new normal of social distancing is most certainly setting most athletes way back in their offseason workout schedules.

Thanks for that Ivocd
That kid has more heart and dedication than most.
Her desire is truly inspiring

Kellie and staff doing work! I know we have to close on this class, but man...so many exciting prospects.

Would love to add Bree to Kaiya and Karoline!!

She looks like she can be a great player. Honestly, I never saw this coming so that should tell you how tied-in I am. I was focused on Sara, Teonni, Saniya and a PG.
