2021 Lady Vol Recruiting Thread

Friends, when the all stars of this 2021 class suit up for the LVs, our team won't get caught short again needing scorers on the court...And then the following season, when Justine gets here, forget about it!!!!!

We will be a much better defensive team with quickness at the guard position along with better penetration on offense. when Destiny is on the court we are a quicker team. Cannot wait until we get some true quickness. On the brighter side if we are mentally ready we can beat anyone, but it just seems we lose focus so easy sometimes. When the tourney starts no one will want to play Tennessee because we are a dangerous team, the tourney is about matchups. UCONN will agree with that as they did not match up well against Ark.

We did suffer some in the Ole Miss game because of they were quick enough at least early in the game to get in the passing lanes and pass denial because were just physically larger than most teams on the perimeter. When we brought in Salary and Walker that helped us quote a bit especially since both played well in the game. Adding Miles and Wynn next season is going to help up so much more we'll be so much more versatile team next season with the ability to match up to any teams style of play. We'll have post players Puckett and Striplin that have range to the three point line. I look for us to be projected as a top three team in the SEC next season.

The Panthers overcame a triple-double by Geneva County standout Karoline Striplin. The Tennessee signee finished with 29 points, 15 rebounds, 10 blocks and added six steals and four assists.
Striplin set one AHSAA girls state record and nearly tied another. She established the record for consecutive free throws made during a season, reaching 44 straight after going 6-for-6. The previous mark was 42 by Cullman's Anna Katherine Eastman in 2018-19.

The 44 made in a row by Striplin tied for eighth most nationally with Stephanie Wagner of Elkhart (Ind.) Jimtown (2007) and Ashley Slade of Kinglsey (Mich) in 2008., according to the NFHS Record Book

She has been an 80 percent free throw shooter her entire career and now 44 in a row that is amazing. Getting fouled in college with be almost like an automatic two points.

Karoline and Key down low, will provide us fans with many thrills as they swat away the opponents close in shots like drunken bees trying to get to the hive...

Our girls will score easy lay ups, and 12 foot jumpers by the bushel full....And when needed, Karoline will go out to the "Justine Line" and drain a few deep threes, just to keep it exciting.

Now that Key has found herself, as the scoring force we all hoped she would become, the inside out game, portrayed by the Lady Vols is about to become lethal next season...
