The point is that they can't sell all of the tickets they have, now. So why freeze out the loyal customers who have supported you through the past 15+ crappy seasons by raising their prices when there are empty seats to be had, and you still don't have a winning product to promote???
What is so hard to understand about that? Do you really believe a whole new flock of fans are chomping at the bit to snatch up season tickets to watch a .500 football team? Create demand, first! It's Economics 101.
The people who want to go to games, now, and start buying season tickets can do it without any change to the pricing model. Tickets, as you admitted, are available. Sell the dang ones you got and then address the market.
So they should’ve dropped the prices like they did but kept honoring those getting cheaper tickets you’re saying? It has been said their reasoning for now was the club level this offseason…those folks are going to have to be moved to a different spot, rather than a year later likely make them move again just go ahead and do it all at the same time.
So in your opinion no doubt that season ticket sales drop by at least 45% then for next year, right?
