2022 U.S. Senate Races

Trump has taken over the party. It may take losing the Senate (again, because I think the Rs had good chance of winning it) to finally wake people up and move on from him and the circus that surrounds him.

If the Ds gain two more seats, they can override Manchin and Sinema's votes to keep the filibuster in place. If that happens, it will be bad. Very, very bad.

Why? Manchin and Sinema were never going to flip. Won't matter if the R's hold the House.

You guys realize the GOP is currently favored to take the Senate on betting sites, right? The doom and gloom over fake polls is a bit silly.

We'll have to see. Not quite ready to admit you're right on these races, but you know I've moved closer to your position on it. Three months ago, I was thinking the Rs would pick up five to six seats. Hell, now they may lose two or three.

Trump-backed candidates may have won primaries against people he didn't like, but they are not going to be useful to anyone if they lose the general elections.

Votes are just too easy to buy these days.

Trump needs to stay out of all races, especially the presidency

Trump effed PA hard when he endorsed Oz. How a State like PA has 2 losers like Oz and Fetterman running for Senate, I don't know.

It's really quite remarkable but the Republicans still got a chance. It won't be due to the rino McConnell. He's hurting the party.

You have to wonder what is going on in Florida for Rubio to be trailing? They came through with flying colors basically being the opposite of everything Democrats stood for and people want Democrats in charge? I honestly do not get it...

Although I do think overturning Roe is playing a part in this. It fired up Democrats who were decidedly lacking in excitement and energy.
I still think Rubio wins, being the incumbent and in a red state. But Demings will keep it very close.

Not just Roe, but the implications of Thomas's statements in Dodd are firing up liberals.

We've got a way to go, but the turtle is right. Dems can actually gain ground in the Senate this year. Dems holding the House is not outside the realm of possibility either, but that is a much harder hill to climb.
You aren't keeping the house. You should lose it all but GOP has gone stupid

Well, I did say it isn't outside the realm of possibility to keep the House, but I doubt that happens. I figure Dems pick up a seat or two in the Senate, barely lose the House, and we have two years of crazy.

Herschel Walker says he’s ready to debate — on very specific terms

^^^^ I knew this was just more of his B.S. !!!! ^^^^

Herschel Walker skipping debate for perplexing reason

Herschel didn't participate in any of the primary debates either.

Both Herschel and his campaign's leadership realize that he can't defend the numerous lies that he has told concerning his education, and illegitimate children ... and he simply isn't capable of discussing any of the issues intelligently. He doesn't possess a civics education, or even a basic understanding of the Bill of Rights in the United States Constitution. On top of being habitually dishonest and poorly educated, Herschel Walker is inarticulate and stupid.

From one of the better pollsters out there, it looks like Roe will have little to no effect...

Wishful thinking on Zep's part. Most people don't give a sh!t about the agenda he's crying about especially black males.

By itself? No ... but Republican-controlled state legislatures imposing complete abortion bans, without exceptions made for pregnancies which resulted from a rape, is a factor in some swing state elections such as Wisconsin - where a recent Fox News poll showed incumbent Sen. Ron Johnson trailing Democratic Party nominee Mandela Barnes by 4 points. There is no way Republicans can take control of the Senate, without winning this election.
