2024 Official Seed List Watch Party Thread

Interesting. I work in logistics. I've since moved on from the day-to-day operations and more into a supply chain relations role.
Well, I never really used it except I did use it on the bar exam strangely enough. We had to have classes together because I think I’ve seen you state when you were at UT.

Do you work remotely or a schedule that’s not the typical M-F 8-5 type? Just curious as you seem to remain connected to VN during a typical working day? Not judging and more power to you if you are skilled enough at your job to make it all work! I’ve got some ADHD tendencies myself.
I work a typical 8-5, but I do work remotely. My team is scattered across the country. I'm not connected to VN all day, everyday, but the way my schedule breaks up, I have several opportunities throughout the day when I check in.

We are roughly the same age, IIRC, but I didn't attend UT.

I have a hard time considering UCLA a blue blood and not UCONN. Those notations have to adjust over time if you don't follow up success with more success. UCLA hasn't won a title in nearly 30 years. By that same token, Vanderbilt used to be a powerhouse in football. At some point, you have to move the bar.

Definitely agree on that the notations have to adjust over time. I think that's where some fans have a problem admitting we're technically not a blue blood in football anymore. 25+ years without a championship. Yes we seem to be well on our way again becoming a mainstay in that area

I almost used that very example, but it is so polarizing for our fanbase.

Had a blast going full travel blog in here last week. May have to make a NCAAT seeding logistics thread next season.

If there isn’t a thread breaking down the mile per gallon cost ratio for flights versus driving and how that might correlate to our 3-point shooting in a neutral site game I will be severely disappointed.

About to devote every waking moment I’m free during the day to developing my a travel analytics system breaking down seed/location correlation to our offensive and defensive efficiency.

I’m not holding my breath. They look like crap to start the 2nd half.
Yeah I always knew this game today would be a long shot, same with UCF. But hoping both teams can pull those games out and we would be sitting really pretty as an almost lock of a 2 seed

Look for us to be the consensus fourth #1 seed when the bracketologists update their projections on Monday.
Not a consensus, at least not yet. For the 34 bracketologists with updated projections as of yesterday, 17 of them have us as a 1 seed and 17 have us as a 2 seed.

I’m still in the boat of wanting a 1 seed - I think it’s the better path to a F4 by a wide margin. That said, if the seeding holds and bracket matrix is correct on the 7-10 seeds, I like how we matchup with most of the 7 and 10s than the 8 and 9s. Will be interesting to watch the shuffling in those spots over the final 2 weeks and through the conference tourneys. Those mid seeds can flip on their heads from 1-2 weird results.

Ehhhh idk if I want to see FAU or Gonzaga as a potential 10 seed matchup

If we become a #1 seed and are the "weakest" #1, does the tourney committee put us in a bracket with the strongest #2 seed? And if we're the strongest #2 seed, do they put us in a region with a weaker #1 seed? Or does it not work that way? Sorry I'm a newb when it comes to the selection process.

4 and 5 seeds hold a lot of SEC teams in the race. Ky Auburn Alabama, potentially FL, SC. Seeding is going to get interesting and I don't see how some games can be avoided in the sweet 16.

Suppose to be balanced brackets but every year one bracket is loaded with good teams.

Texas, Michigan state, Oklahoma are all 8/9s right now on BM. All of those scare me far more than FAU, Zags, Virginia, TTU, or CSU. I know that that’s only 3 of the current 6 8/9 seeds, but the thought of us getting MSU in the second round in our first ever 1 seed just sounds like the most UT thing ever lol
