That depends on which version of the left, the big LEFT or little left, the political left or the civilian left, and how many constitute the left.

Right now, I see a lot of internal fighting from the left on the matter.

I've done nothing to defend biden and actually commented that he's so mentally diminished that he probably isn't capable of finishing his term, let alone running for office again.

And this is all for show. They never intended to run Biden. NOBODY is this stupid. Well, nobody that is not blinded by anti-Trump rage. Biden has been addled for at least 2 years if not the entire time he has been in the office. The oligarchy is waiting until the masses get nice and riled up to install their next puppet. The fly in the ointment is that Trump is laying low. They didn't count on that.

Big Mike will run. He's their best chance.

I see the whole of the left turning tide. They're all jockeying for position to be on the right side of this as it shakes out - no one wants to be the first through the door because they'll be the ones getting shot at as traitors.

Ultimately, the money and the party wants to not lose the WH, even if it means KH.

Agree but I don't think she caused this. I think both situations are people who can't (or won't) recognize reality.

This is like the family that has to have an intervention to get the 85 year old father to stop driving. They often resist.

I don’t think she caused it either, Hillary losing did. RBG held out, Hillary lost…Trump won, he filled seats including RBG. Trump “lost”…insert Biden/Harris…Trump still not in jail and Biden is fading away and taking the party with him.

So I'm still not 100% sure on requirements for such things but a few friends and I were talking and thought if we were Democrat strategists and wanted to do a quick reset with the least amount of damage we'd get rid of Biden, like yesterday. If you can shut him down on his own great but if you have to 25th him then do it. Install Kamala ASAP and get her out in front of as many people as possible and make it rough on her. Imagine the MSM going at her like she was a right wing Republican right up to the convention. If she somehow exceeds all expectations and steps up to the point she's looking like a genuinely viable candidate and polling well against Trump then so be it. Run with her. Given that seems exceedingly unlikely and she tanks you don't have to play the "We just straight decided to go around the female POC for POTUS." card. The best case scenario there is she's polling, well, pretty much like she is now and steps down. Even if she doesn't it can be clearly presented that she isn't really a viable nominee. Then at the convention you have whomever (Newsome?) on deck and go from there.

It's pretty late in the game, convention starts 8/19, but the above looked like the only way to clear the slate with the least collateral damage. (or at least the best we noodled up under the influence of holiday party drinking)
