It’s such an epically dumb strategy. Everybody understands exactly what he’s saying, but it won’t sway a single voter and saying it out loud just makes it easier to characterize him as an out of touch old guy. It’s attacking a lack of substance with even less substance.

Meh, you have always had the Ds and Rs even back in the day. The difference today is that the two parties have grown significantly apart to the point where both sides represent very different cultures. This has happened on several occasions in the past.

I'm trying to imagine the look of ever increasing cringe on the faces of his staff the further along that clusterf went on yesterday. If you agree to something like that you have to prepare him to respond to hostile questions about his past comments. He has to be prepared to clarify/justify/retract, whatever strategy they decide, in order to come out looking cleaner than when he went in.

Instead he doubled down and told a bunch of black people that Harris just turned black and that immigrants were coming to take their jobs.

I honestly still think Trump will win but he's trying to prove me wrong with his stupid mouth.

Honestly, you pick your battles and Trump should have never gone to that event in the first place. You don't see Kamala going to meet with the NRA or any conservative group.

The group Trump met with has always been firmly in the camp of the left. Sometimes less campaigning is more.

Sure. But that was always bound to happen. It would be much less meaningful if the Republican were running anyone but Trump. Kamala Harris is not the Democrat nominee. She's just who's available to sleepwalk thru the process. The Democrate nominee is, and has always been, Donald Trump.

Hard to say that the Democrats intentionally set Trump up there when he has brought votes to the right. He definitely turns people off though. I think he has tried to be more "likeable" this cycle but he cannot throw of his mean comments of the past that easily.

Trying to answer every question with a talking point that doesn't really fit with the question beyond stupid, imo. The first question the lady ask him at the event yesterday was such an easy win and he totally wiffed. He should have said that anyone that commits crimes like murder and rape are animals regardless of race. Then say what he has done for the black community. In all his rambling he forgot to mention the people that he helped Kim K with and bipartisan criminal justice reform bill.

Yeah, Trumps typical schtick of throwing mud at his opponents just isn't going to work with Kamala. Kamala's issue has always been that she is highly unqualified but her base doesn't care. If he comes at her hard with insults like he did with Hillary or Biden, it will help Kamala and hurt him. His campaign style was to always insult his opponents and point out that they are politicians that ruined this nation.

Of course there's always been D and R's but it seems more emphasis is placed on voting for the Democrat or Republican.
In the past it seemed more people were willing to cross party lines. It's obvious the county is more divided politically.

Trump has done better agree, but the midnight tweets and rants are over the top. It's is a sign of derangement. Midnight temper tantrums are just too childlike and accomplishes nothing except showing how much the little things get to him and he should be above that at his age. I have stated the all he had to do was to keep his mouth shut and he could not.

We are stuck with two candidates that really don't deserve to run for the office. Trump is like a broken record and KH is just too untrustworthy and liberal. It is not where they are today but where they will go with this Presidency.

Throwing crap against the wall and see what sticks. Smoke and Mirrors for both. 2025 did not stick so they abandoned and criticized the Concept. KH throwing a lot at it and no one can figure out her campaign platform. Both rely on Fear and more fear.

Our choices for presidents are the last picks realistically for each party. It's now just about winning.
