2024 Presidential Race

I think you hit the nail on the head, its not really possible, absent him saying he was SF when he was not, what his intent was in wearing the hat -- to support or mislead.

A friend of mine's family is all from Green Bay and during playoffs last year I bought a GB jacket to wear to her house to support their team -- did not intend to imply I was from there, or even a GB fan.

You need a good alt because people really aren't going to believe you have friends.

I mean, there's a way to say that without associating yourself with tea bagging....and if you're coming from a position of say advocating "traditional values" (which would include industry and thrift), it's a little problematic to cite Thomas Paine, who wanted to tear down literally every bastion of tradition.

Edit: "problematic" is not the right word - "philosophically inconsistent"
Who is this and what did you do with Gordie

To me, I can think of few greater honors than having served in uniform, whether in war or peacetime so I go the extra mile to make sure I never do anything to pretend I did or to even give that impression. Not sure what was going through Walz’s mind when he said that he carried weapons “in war”. Even giving him the benefit of the doubt, it was a troubling statement. I think that instead of ignoring the issue as he appears to be doing, a clear public apology for creating any false impressions would be a good step to take. This is one issue that all Americans, regardless of party, care strongly about.
Otherwise, this is a terrible unforced error by the campaign

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, on at least five occasions as governor of Minnesota, hosted a Muslim cleric who celebrated Hamas‘s Oct. 7 attack last year on Israel and promoted a film popular among Neo-Nazis that glorifies Adolf Hitler, the Washington Examiner found.

The imam, Asad Zaman of the Muslim American Society of Minnesota, joined other Muslim leaders in May 2023 for a meeting about mosque security with Walz’s gubernatorial office in Minnesota. Zaman also spoke at a May 2020 event to call for peaceful protests with the governor during the riots in Minnesota sparked after George Floyd’s death. In April 2019, the cleric delivered an invocation before Walz’s state address — just months after Zaman called for an end to a government shutdown at a press conference with Walz in January 2019.

Zaman, moreover, attended a May 2019 event that Walz hosted for Ramadan, social media posts show.

Are kackles and puddinhead going to wait until after the election to do anything about inflation?
It’s so frustrating.. Kamala is going around saying we are going to do this and that.. well what exactly have y’all been doing for 4 years, you ninny? If you had the ability to fix things then you would have, unless you are letting things tank intentionally?

I once used to wear a Navy Style baseball cap with the USS Wisconsin on it, not because I served but because I love battleships. I didn’t think much about it until one day when a stranger came up to me and thanked me for my service. I took it off and haven’t worn it since. I was ashamed that I had inadvertently given someone the impression that i deserved respect for something i hadn’t earned. Can’t speak for Walz as I don’t know his heart. But that is the way I felt about something similar in my own life.
I used to have a blue coffee mug - it was a giveaway from one of the booths at a UT recruiting event.

The booth was recruiters for the US Marine Corps.
The blue coffee mug said “US Marine” on it.

I used it all the time.

Until someone asked me if I was a Marine. I never used it again.

Do you look like you color outside the lines?

Then you are truly a gentleman. 👍
