I wouldn't go as far to say that he was the catalyst in that his spending was significantly less than that of the Dems at the time but he does need to shoulder some of the blame. The reason for changing of the inflation at this time is laying purely with the Federal Reserve and what they do here shortly with the interest rates.

I will go on the flip side of you. If Trump wins, he takes away some business regulations, starts to drill, energy prices go down and overall general expenses go down are you going to give credit to Trump?

We haven't been truly energy independent for decades, with our dollar being dependent on oil we cannot be energy independent but we could be more selective in where we buy. And yes, we need more refineries.

Actually picking Kamala made perfect sense. Anyone else and the party would have imploded. The identity politics of the dim party required a minority woman (ironic for the party that otherwise can’t define the word “woman”) and anything else would have been white supremacy. Never mind of course that any of the names besides Kamal being floated at the time would have polled better against a Trump.
