I think the opposite. High (anti-Trump) voter turnout hurt Trump in 2020. I think MAGA will turnout and vote Trump. There won't be a lower voter turnout for MAGA. MAGA is about 30% or so of the country. The more people stay home, the more impactful that 30% is. I don't see that stout ~30% for Kamala.

Those who voted against Trump in 2020 got played. Now they’ve lived with their choice and will want to go back to mean tweet and comfortable lifestyle.

Maybe it should serve to highlight what a truly horrible choice trump is.

But it's clear that trumpers are unreachable.
He could shoot someone in the middle of Times Square and his followers would still worship him.

Was it justified? Context matters. Cheney did shoot someone and you’re someone who is endorsing him as a good thing.
