2024 Presidential Race

Moving goalposts? It was a question, which is yet to be answered.

The border bill was a bipartisan bill and Republicans still shot it down so they could continue to complain about the border. If it had passed it would’ve been the most sweeping immigration bill to date.
Allowing 2 million illegal aliens to come in per year is not a secure border.

Isaiah chapter five is a good description. A society that calls evil "good" and calls good "evil."

Doesn’t get much more pornographic than that. Pretty evil if you ask me and doesn’t belong on school where there are impressionable children…

The left has hidden power within the bureaucracies. The only way back is to reduce the federal government.

This past month (October) jobs added was +12k. Government jobs were +40k. The private sector lost -28k jobs.
Seems like it should be a pretty big deal.

Again, 6 democrats were part of that shooting it down. So regroup the Pearl clutching and come back. Get those goalpost secure before you shoot at one party.

From what I've seen so far, this forum is definitely entertaining.

Definitely glad to have you here bud. Welcome. Kinda have our own little ecosystem in here.

The Gramps OT thread is the "water cooler" where we talk about everything except politics and keep up with eachother. Many of us are in touch with at least a couple of the other PF posters in real life via email/text etc. Bunch of good dudes in here. Nice to meet you, and welcome to the Terrordome 😆

I generally agree with this, but he has not been immune to coming up with crazy defenses for Kamala and Biden.

It tells you how far left the democrat party has gone. Btw, I did vote for Ford over Corker back in the day.

Sadly, I still think even Ford would vote party line these days regardless of what he truly believes. He did move on from congressman for that area which is why they have the crazed loon in that part of the state.

They actually admit to ~12million in this 4 year term including 15,000 convicted muderers and 14,000 rapists/child molesters....and those are just the ones that they admit to catching and processing (releasing in US,)

The real number is likely around ~20 million

6 Democrats and how Republicans?

Some of the Democrats that voted against it did so because it was too reminiscent of Trumps proposal. So they voted against for very different reasons

According to Pilgrim's reply to me, they are perfectly content with letting anyone come into the country. Absolutely crazy.

Maybe. Depends on where you get your news and their biases. I have really seen any more centrist say it was bad, but I haven’t looked that hard either.

Lmao you don’t need a news agency to read a bill do you?

Some of the big issues were that many of the provisions in the bill would not kick in unless they were averaging 5,000 encounters daily at the border. That’s almost 2 million people a year.

Thank you for the introduction to the forum. I think I'll stick around.

Or how far right Republicans have gone. Based on world politics Democrats are very center/center right.

I am not saying you are wrong but link your source. Otherwise you have no empirical evidence since this is nationwide data.

I’m not impressed. The issue with the border is less a problem with legislation and more a problem with the removal of several Trump policies by Biden and Harris.

Most notably trading remain in Mexico with catch and release, and ending construction on the border wall.

Myself and probably you as well likely wouldn’t be in America today under whatever border security you’d like to see. Say what you will about different times but Irish immigrates were allowed to walk in without any processing or seeing if they were criminals or not.
