2024 Presidential Race

Trump should be very close to his 2020 totals, give or take a few. The odd one out is the 2020 election, where all the votes were going to one candidate in the middle of the night. I'm sure it was nothing.

Carter received a 13% reduction in total votes when he ran for reelection
Bush saw an 18% reduction (9 million votes by the way) when he ran for reelection
Harris will be down 12.5% from Biden

Stop the nonsense and enjoy the win

Facts are facts. The majority of the countries you have to deal with as a president do not view men and women remotely equal, as in the US, and it causes issues for them to have to speak with a woman if she is the top hog. It barely flies when one is an envoy of a male top dog. It's just the world outside of ours.
Golda Meir and Margret Thatcher say hello. Well respected and feared. I see your point of which we in the US, as well, do not deal with women equally when it comes to positions of authority. Unless they are exceptional like above. My point earlier is that Americans are not conditioned to view women as part of the government process. Then founders of the Constitution didn't even give them the right to vote until 1920, much less run for office.

It's statistics. Percentages and totals don't always ride the same bus.
lol.......
It's stupid to show that chart as if it proves the dem numbers in 2020 weren't legitimate (but repub numbers were).
Anyone who cannot understand why..........that's on you.

THis 17 state National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is disturbing and will cuse violence and civil unrest in the future. By design it garuntees DEM presidencies in all but the slimmest of chances. Being that the poplular vote is almost always won by dems. Trumps victory today in both tallies hasn't happened for republicans since 1988.

Scenario - Trumps electors remain what they are (he's cleared 270) BUT Kamala had won the populace, those 17 states, with a combined 209 electors, could pull their electors and award them to Harris. That would have put her in the WH. And this seems to be a relatively unknown compact created in 2006. I just read of it today via a link in this thread. It has yet to be tested in action.

If i read the compact correctly, that is how it could have gone down under the right circumstances. On the surface it seems a legal way to perpetuate the machine and as long as a lib can secure the populace, they can keep conservatives at bay. There's probably also a lot of legal discourse to wade through if this is ever enacted.

This smells like some boomer chain mail ********.

It’s comical at this point. MSNBC and CNN with no self reflection whatsoever, just doubling and tripling down on racism, sexism, insurrection and Trump jailing errbody.
MSNBC is stuck though. That’s what their viewers expect. If they start telling the truth now, their mentally ill audience would go insane. You would have a better time reasoning with an addict that’s had their drugs taken away than trying to expose the hard left to reality.

Bush won both in 2004

Yep. We are not their intended audience, so it seems absurd to us (and it is absurd to anyone outside the echo chamber).

what has to change to get a woman elected is to stop running as a woman. just stop with the identity politics.

run on a campaign of actual policy and real stances. be able to communicate with the public, and be seen as confident without being overbearing. be someone that people would actually like to vote for, who is also a woman.

she can't start with "I am woman hear me roar". that is going to turn off a lot of people, including the cucks who can't stand a strong woman. Kamala was certainly not one. but everything circled back to her being a woman. and that rubs people the wrong way, or at least leaves a lot of questions. if a woman could be the type of person most americans are going to look for in a bad situation, she can win. but she has to establish that as a standalone "feature".

It really is an astonishing difference in vote totals between elections when plotted.

There was no cheating though. lol.

Seriously though, who can look at this and even consider the possibility that Biden could garner that many more votes than clinton, the bush's, or obama. We are talking 36 years combined of 5 immensely popular presidents. Biden can't even get an elector in a party primary, yet he ends up president with more than 20 million votes above any of the 4 horsemen. 2 Dems and 3 GOP. And the lengths to which it was covered up.

Bush 8 years
Clinton 8 years.
Bush 8 years
Obama 8 years
Trump 4 years

I'm not a moral fan of Clinton, and consider him on the same level as Trump in those regards. But his performance spoke for itself, as did Trumps. Thus my votes. And Clinton left a surplus to boot.

We were talking about this very thing thing this morning. No way Joe got 80+ million votes in covid year. Absolutely no way.
It's not absolute. You may be right, given the conditions of the time, but people also had nothing else to do being at home. It's plausible that many people might have been more likely to mail their ballots. If the Dems actually cheated in 2020 and got away with it, they certainly would have had a plan for it this year. But if course, there was no cheating because the guy that convinced you there was cheating in 2020, won this year

Gabbard was the only one that could fit your parameters, and they ran her off.

I actually think the Dems dodged a bullet here. The worst thing for those enamored with a female POTUS would be to have a woman win the position and then have to spend years defending ineptitude. I think that would have been the case with Harris. If you're going to do something historic the worst possible outcome would be having it looked back upon by people saying "Yeah...and how'd that turn out for you?".

Until the Democrats come up with a more centered candidate, unwilling to cater to the fringe, they're going to struggle in Presidential elections going forward.
It wasn’t just that. She was also handcuffed to Biden’s economic failures. I also think the media was so overboard this time with their propaganda that people got wise to it. The more you try to force people to do what you want the more they will do the opposite.
