2024 Presidential Race

You might want to let the face diaper nonsense go.
Or better yet, find a past post of mine that supports your continued reference.....
When you can't, .................??? What will you do?

I asked you if the wore the face diaper, in response you implied it must work because they were still wearing them at the clinic (or similar).

The face diaper is symbolizing of people that claim they know everything being very gullible. The reason it pains you, is you don't want to admit to that. Not my problem.

We were talking about this very thing thing this morning. No way Joe got 80+ million votes in covid year. Absolutely no way.
I am not picking on you because there are several posts on here referring to the same thing which is the voting discrepancies in numbers.

Sounds like barber shop talk. This is 4 years ago and there are so many reasons there could have lead to this issue.

No need to dwell on it, but it must be eating some people up. Might as well blame it on Covid Brain fog, dyslexic vote counters as well, but to cheat the system out of 15 million votes means you are going to get caught.

Nothing we can do about it now except talk about it. Why keep talking about it, it is history. I am sure some kid at a computer thought up some different conspiracy for clicks and they spread like wildfires.

Take the win and go home. We need to quit looking back at things we have no control over and occurred 4 years ago. I am sure there is some explaining that someone will do in ten years and write a book about it and make a fortune selling it.

If she wanted to win she should have. Basically she was trying to be a younger Biden as a woman of color. People of every race, gender, etc will unite against an administration if the economic conditions are bad enough. I think that’s the main thing we saw. Idk that everyone liked Trump but they disapproved of the Biden administration; Kamala was unwilling or unable to distance herself from him. Even if she did possibly she alienates some Biden supporters.
In the end, Trump won handily because of the middle 50. They chose the best between two bad candidates

So his performance in all of those areas looks very close to you????? Okey dokey....say no more.

His totals are roughly the same as country wide, he'll land somewhere in the 74m range +/-.

Luther, you have been melting since the end of last week. Just tell yourself, everything will be okay. 🌞

How do you explain trump getting 2 million more votes in 2020?

Compare how trump did in 2020 to how he did in 2024 among......
Hispanic men
black men
suburban women
voters under 25
Michigan
GA
any state of your choosing.

YET HE GOT 2 MILLION FEWER VOTES.
Maybe 2 million less voted overall? But his demogrphic performance was better within those groups was better.

That 2mil diff is less than 3% shift in voter total.

Total voter turnout is down a little over 16 million from over 155 million just 4 years ago. And there wasn't enough registered voters to cover that 155 million. And Biden drew 20 million more than the ever popular Obama. Explain that.

You can have a 3% drop in total votes, yet increase votes in certain demographics from voters that crosssed over. So, what really happened is more than 2 million trump voters from the past stayed home, and were replaced by disgruntled dem voters, improving his performance among those demographics.

I really thought a GT grad would be smart enough to read those numbers.

2 million was about a 3% drop.
14 million was about a 17% drop. I think she adds a couple more millions as the days go on, but for now that is the delta.

3% is a natural variation, the "margin of error" if you will. you don't need to explain it. I would say anything around 5% is normal.
17% is not natural variation, that is not within any margin of error. there has to be something that explains it. personally I think Kamala was simply that bad, and the economy being in the tank.

and I love the racism on display there: "black" men vs "suburban" women. very clever. and there are other categories, so presumably his results in those other categories got worse.

Lol. Ok. I ain't lookin back I am stoked about the future, however.

Totally plausible. It's hard to get off a sinking ship. Damned if you do....

Luther doesn't appear to be correct to me, maybe I am missing something? All the numbers are not in, it looks like 74m+/- to me is in play. I think what Luther is saying is... more people are voting for Trump because more blacks, latinos, etc. voted for him.... so the numbers should be much higher????

That's simply stupid.......you completely misinterpreted the conversation.
I need to refocus on when agitation is worthwhile and beneficial and when it's simply a waste of time.

You kind of have to look back until you've prevented it for the future. It was never about just 15 million votes. It was 15 million votes that wasn't covered by registered voters. Kinda like our fed budget. Over extended.

What type of person would refuse to wear a mask in that situation? I guess we know.

Latest Coronavirus - Yikes

I had a couple of great vacations and I'm all for a return to normal with masks being optional, but that is being complicated by the ridiculous number of anti-vaxxers.

🤷‍♂️

I'm officially throwing my hands up on this one.....It's not like anyone is changing their mind anyway.

The bottom line is people just didn't want to vote for her because there was no real appealing reason to do so. That she wasn't Trump wasn't enough
