2024 Presidential Race

There's a reason people are a bit taken aback by your take.

I appreciate you trying to assist Luther in this matter. I think I should remind everyone that Luther’s avi is just that. The avi is a picture of Don Knotts. That’s not Luther.

Below is an actual picture of Luther. I think this explains a lot and now things should start making sense to the posters on the board.

I had no clue who Che was. And I went to school in the 70's - received a great education.

I'm about to conclude that Che is yet one more, among many, boogeymen to the right-wing.

I looked him up - nothing that makes him a big historical figure worth noting.
were you taught about the Bay of Pigs? was that an important event worth noting?

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

David Ben-Gurion

Konrad Adenauer

leader of the Young Turks, took over during the interwar period. lead to a popular movement in Turkey that became known as Kemalism that took Turkey away from the monarchy. fought in WW1 and the interwar wars too.

David was a prime minister of Israel. helped form the nation. their George Washington*

Didn't know Konrad, first chancellor of East Germany

besides all serving as heads of states at maybe some overlapping times, I think Kemal died pretty early, not sure what the relevance is.

They were all listed in the top 20 most influential figures of the 20th century. A list which omitted Che. I'm relatively certain he would not be on a list of the top 100 or even 500.

So anyone who read those 3 names and did not know one or more ---------------

the difference being that Che played a direct part in our history.

I doubt Poncho Villa is on those list either, but should be known to most Americans.

what names like Rommel, Yamamoto, Ho Chi Minh?

without a link to your list, I am willing to bet its based on the "winners" with a slant towards politicians.

he was key in stopping our/cuban attacks.

also a key figure in several of the communist uprisings across central & south america.
I think it goes back to what I posted though...Che is WAY more than just what he actually did as a pure historical figure. The guy has his own wiki page related to his being a pop culture icon.

Che played a very minor role in our history.....at best.

He would not be on a top 500 list of influential people in American history.

You are certifiably INSANE

your ignorance of him doesn't diminish the role he played.

he was the right hand man (or maybe left because politics) of one of your most influential, Castro. Its like arguing Rommel wasn't influential.

what role did Mao, Gandhi, Mandela, Lenin, Kemal, de Gaule, Konrad, Nehru, Shek play in our history? all were less directly impactful than Che.

I've heard of BJs. Wife doesn't like them.
You know how the paint fades on your car after a while and you keep praying that with its age the only thing that goes wrong with it is the outward appearance. But then the tranny (no homo) starts acting up and you start pouring tons of money into and eventually contemplate trading in and getting a newer model, something with more safety features that might help you live longer. You have fond memories with "your beater" but don't want it to become a money pit just to be average or below average. Then you think about that new model and everything its gonna do for you that you want it to...at first. But it costs more now, and you dont really have anything in common with all the modern tech inside so you're on the fence about what to do.

Thats the best metaphor I can come up with for BJs and wives.
