Yes, the fact that our coaching staff are not "Great Kreskin" mind readers is totally unacceptable. Or just sacrifice one goat and read the entrails......

I'm really disappointed, I truly though we'd get Clara.

These visits do not equal "getting played" and are not for nothing. So much of our portal success, which is saving our recruiting bacon right now, is built around players who came, who saw, with whom we came very close, and who then actually chose us for their forever home on the second go round.

Of course we need to fix that and get them the first time around. It's very frustrating to come so close so often and not close the deal. But to say we need to cut down on these visits is crazy IMO. Win a few big games, go a step deeper in the tourney and we'll end up the bride sometimes instead of the perpetual bridesmaid.

Who said cut down on visits?? You have to determine quickly who is truly interested and who is there for the fun. Our staff has trouble with that part.

They equal, not closing. The kids are making it on campus, they chose not to come back.

Until they go where they sign and realize they made a mistake and they should have been with us lol .... we are seeing this more and more.

Coaches are making all these promises to players and not upholding their end of the bargain.

I'm disappointed we didn't land her but im also glad my sanity doesn't rely on the decision of HS players lol... Thatd be a horrible way to go crazy 🤪

Not closing is certainly looking like a problem we can't ignore. Were doing ok with the perimeter players, but we can't get any post player even though there is playing time coming real soon. Let us see how it works out with the remaining post players we are recruiting.

If a person comes on their own dime , keep in contact with staff , and shows continual interest wouldnt that indicate to the staff they need to get them on campus ?

This is not to pick a fight but i'm curious as to what you think the staff should do? it costs them one visit so it's not like they are putting endless resources into a player just to get told no.

We also have to remember when fans complained about us needing to cast a WIDER net... which in return means more visits and a possibility of people saying no thank you :)

And for anyone thinking I'm ok with missing out on a recruit I THINK IT SUCKS... I'm just not going to melt down.

Plus I also know there are still more chances to add on to our class with visits 😉

The problem is you have to keep showing interest, but I think after a couple visits I would be wanting a commit or good bye. That might not be the right way to play it but four visits without a commit is certainly being played.

TK visited about 3-4 and then committed 😂 she said she came on a couple visits then committed. I'm glad the staff didn't tell her no and still went to rerecruit her after the coaching change.

Exactly. This is the LVs absolute lifeline right now. The 3 highest ranked recruits currently in our program, Rickea, Jill, and Cooper, got here precisely that way. To cut that back now would be insane.

Recruiting hasn't been terrible as some would want to make you believe. It is just post recruiting is sticking out like a sore thumb. We still have some options see how it plays out.

We do need more posts! That's not a big leap BUT the when is... Believe it or not TKs POSSIBLE ability to return for another year is being used in recruiting. I don't think she is coming back but it's sure being tossed around. I don't think Kellie would tell recruits if she was or wasn't coming back because that's most likely up to TK.

Da Silva was looking for a starting spot to play right away... She didn't commit here. I'm sure people can do the math. Kellie isn't going to promise playing time much less a starting spot.
