2024 Recruiting Thread

Don't want to see anyone lose their job, but I agree, changes need to be made..
That's premature right now. But if some big wins and clear progress on the court this coming season don't help us start closing w elite talent, then yeah, something needs to be looked at.

Of course if the big wins and clear progress on the court don't happen this year w this roster, things definitely need to be looked at in many areas.

Anyone who has been paying attention to your comments since you've been here knows you are no fan of UT as well! It's funny how you always appear when a recruit decides to commit elsewhere but when we land someone you are noticably absent and silent!

I don't even have to uncheck my ignore list to know who this was directed towards 😂

When it comes to NIL and high school recruits there are very few that warrant good dollars 💸 because they have proved nothing at Top College level. I'm glad our NIL dollars 💸 are used for proven players. Portal is pro free agency and use your money 💰 wisely. In CHRIST Alone

And thats what she was looking for. A starting spot as a freshman. We can't guarantee that
VT has a 6-5 freshman coming in this year. I don't think a starting spot is guaranteed for her next year. Kenny Brooks is a good coach that will put his best team on the floor and in a position to win.

I agree with this writer. Coach Kenny Brooks can compete for recruits since he took his team to the final four last season.

"If you win, they will come. The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team is finding that out.

Fresh off a trip to the Final Four last season, along with winning the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament Championship, the Hokies hit it big in the recruiting trail."

There's some truth in that. That 9 point second quarter last March ended up costing Tennessee a lot. A whole lot.

If the Lady Vols can't prove themselves capable of making the Final Four this year, I don't know. I just don't know what to think. Or perhaps I know what to think; I just hope I don't have to think it. They have got to show some kind of sign. It's their last year with Jackson, they've added a point guard who can shoot, Hollingshed will be taking a bigger role ... something needs to work out for them. Something, anything, that says they're headed up, and not down.

Good looking group! I spy Kayleigh Heckel, Zania Socka, and Bryanna Preston 👀
Thank you for sharing! I love seeing the recruits having a great time.

I am curious about the PGs being recruited here and am wondering what others who follow this more closely think. It seems that Heckel and Preston are both PGs, and the one recruit we have for this class (Boyd) is also a PG. I'm just curious about thoughts on this and who we're most focused on going after.

When did we get on Heckel ??? I don’t have her as an interested recruit …. Now she is visiting! How did this total forum not have someone mentioning her ? Just Saying

Not sure about Heckel, but she does play with Kate Koval who the Lady Vols have been showing interest in for some time and would be an amazing get for any team in the country. Long Island Luthern seems to be loaded with D-1 talent.

Preston is the PG. Heckle plays PG some but can play a combo guard just like Boyd. Remember Powell is leaving after this season and Wells the season after that so we will need some PGs. I could see us picking up one in the 24,25, and 26 class
