Valid point, take any year of choosing to get the value to achieve or not achieve a degree. To your point many players are able to capitalize on the covid year by earning master's degrees. That increases the value of the degree(s) and money saved. Why times it by 4 when schollys are year to year? Heck, why not times it by 5? They can all RS if they want to.
Compare her athletic ability to Remdal at Fla. Just wondering why no big offers so it seems to be coaches don't believe in her Athletic ability because knowing how to play the game she has in spades. Thanks. In CHRIST Alone
I do not understand what is going with KJH and Staff , but ZERO RECRUITS in 2023 sort of speaks for itself...there are over 40 colleges, including P5's recruiting her,,,
Wake Forest
Duke
Indiana
Iowa
Iowa state
Kansas state
Missouri
NC state
UsF
Memphis
BELMONT
SHE HAS ABOUT 30 more MID MAJORS wanting her as well...not sure which ones have offered, but I am pretty sure she will end up at a P5.
Rimdal is a little faster off the dribble, but Madi has the range of a Justine Pissott

When they write a book on the challenges of building a team this way, KJH and this year's LVs are going to be chapter 1. Some coaches won't enjoy this GM like process and will be gone. KJH said in a vid yesterday it took far longer than they had thought or hoped to make it happen. Thus the gross (IMO) overschedule in preseason. I'm sure they've learned a ton.Doesn’t speak to anything. We got out bid on a few kids. That’s the landscape now.
Recruiting is also just different. I maintain it’s now more like free agency with the pros. You’re going to build your best roster every season with recruits and transfers. Just how it is.
Looking at the best teams across the country they are almost all bolstered by impact, veteran transfers. I’ll take a Rickea or Alexus Dye type player out of the portal every day of the week over a high school player
Plus an elite scorer from the two guard position. I am fine with Justine being brought along enough to be a quality wing for us. Tess will still be the outside threat even as she develops a bit a of a driving game. Puckett and Striplin should be stretch fours almost totally similar players. I am hoping Jill will be well advanced to contribute a lot of points and defense at the five as well.Yes!
We need an elite HS PG to back up Powell. 30% or better 3 point shooter.
We need an elite center. Someone like Striplin or Puckett but 2 inches taller.
Again expecting to have a lot of new players on the team from the portal. Starting out with three or four lesser teams until you see what you have and who plays well together is the way the schedule should start. I don't care about having the number two sos anything in the top 20 is fine. The LSU SOS is 190 they are ranked seventh in the polls and number two in the NET. They suffer a little in the RPI but they are at this time in the season thought of as a two or three seed. Were anywhere from a 7 or 10 depending on which bracket you believe. Point being you can do just as well beating a lot of low ranked teams as you can high ranked teams. I totally want to play a few of them every year not as many as we played this year. When they write a book on the challenges of building a team this way, KJH and this year's LVs are going to be chapter 1. In this year's portal, I'd like a good young point guard and a tall post, both willing to be backups for a while.
IMO the overschedule was the first and great mistake by KJH. She said in her media op just the other day that it simply took longer than she had expected or hoped to knit things together. She wasn't alone of course, all of us plus the national media and the coaches thought it would happen quicker as well, even against the monster sched. But it didn't, and so the sched turned out to be an unnecessary gamble.Again expecting to have a lot of new players on the team from the portal. We do need a point guard that can score consistently from the perimeter and maybe more like 5'10" than smaller. If there is any elite center out there we need her. Finally we need that really quick and great scoring two guard. If we had those three players with what we have coming back I am fine with us next season.
It was a high risk high reward way to the top or it gets you where we are now. If we had split those games then were a top ten team. If we win them all were number one. I think she really took to heart we were the number five team in the country had plenty of talent to take on those games and win most of them. I certainly want to play some of those teams every year, but not game one or even the first three. Certainly don't want to do what Mulkey did just way to soft. Yes were digging out of a hole and I believe we can dig ourselves all the way out. Biggest concern is a power post player. Other than Jill which I consider basically a freshman were undersized. I would feel ok if we had the Franklin before the injury as she is not that player now even though she is still a good player. Being undersized in the post cost us against Stanford and expect it will be tough against UConn, SC, and LSU who all have big post players this season. We win last night because other than Carter and a player playing the game of her season thus far they lacked our talent. We'll have to see how it all turns out for us still a long way to go.IMO the overschedule was the first and great mistake by KJH. Doesn't mean we should have gone all Mulkey and scheduled the whole bakery for preseason. Somewhere in between, like maybe only 2 or 3 top 20 teams then fill in with decent mid majors or something. I'll bet that's what happens next year, espec now that we see NET and SOS not being that influential.
Why it matters this year is it puts us way behind the eight ball for tourney seeding. I've heard every argument about how losses toughen us, how we'll have to beat em all in the tourney anyway, etc. But for my money, none of that is worth having to play away the first two games then have a very tough sweet 16 at best.
