Lol. The delusional comments by UK fans here in the thread is hilarious.
Just one of the many reasons Kentucky fans are ignorant lol. They don’t think about things like that. All they do is just mention final 4s when they haven’t made it out of the second weekend in 5+ years. This is one of the multiple businesses lined up with Spyre who will be part of his NIL deal, meeting them and putting names with faces is pretty common. They didn’t just randomly decide to go to a cookie place.

They had Matt Jones drive him around, stopped at Rupps grave for a quick worship service, then Pope took him to Gattiland. It’s a step up from the Cal era where recurring visits were just watching film of the NBA draft.I mean what do they think we’re going to have him do? Just sit in a gym and stare up at old banners?? lol. That’s all they keep mentioning. “We have no final fours so here are some cookies.” Lol. They’re absolute morons. What do they think he did at Kentucky? Just sit on campus? lol. I’ve been to Lexington and Knoxville and while I’m a little biased I believe there is waaayyy more to do in Knoxville than there is in Kentucky. He’s also from Tennessee, Rick Barnes has a proven track record, and I’m sure our NIL isn’t shabby.
I think Zeigler's ppg average will go up a smidge and he will be a bit more offensive minded next year, but you are correct.....if he is our leading scorer we are in trouble. If he gets that floater in the lane more consistent, at least one more bucket per game at least for ZZ. Otherwise I would expect either Lanier (if he signs) or Dubar to lead us in scoring. Folks forget that Dubar has been a double figure and efficient scorer for 3 years. I think his offensive game will translate to the SEC even though he has a bit of a wind-up on this shot on the perimeter. Dupar's overall shot distribution is more evenly weighted than either Lanier or Igor. He gets shot off early in the paint and it goes in at high rate, albeit it looks somewhat awkward from clips. But I don't see us running the same offense we did for DK with Dubar. Lanier or Carr and maybe Igor could run off screens and bury long jumpers but Dubar seems more of a stationary player and someone to kick the ball to off dribble penetration or rotate to on the weak side.It was hard to choose between Igor and Lanier as the leading scorer. ZZ will get his 10-11 points but if he’s our leading scorer, we’re in trouble.
I’m really really really really really high on Igor. Not many 6’10 dudes that can move like him while having the handling he does
Maybe I shouldn’t rely so much on highlight reels, but to my eye Okpara appears markedly more aggressive, energetic and confident around the rim than Aidoo. Would you agree?May very well be a "live by the 3, die by the 3" type of team without a post if we don't have anyone who will attack and finish at the rim.
