Thank you for your service.Yeah but he already lost so I don’t have to watch him anymore. Luka might flop his way to the finals
I’ll quit griping about NBA players flopping though and get back to waiting for Chaz

It's funny how our negative fans can take two synonymous situations for two different schools and make them both negative for Tennessee.i remember those days, but Nashville has seen a crazy amount of growth. Don't know if it's a majority, but I suspect there's a ton of recruits in Nashville who's families have zero pride or loyalty to the state or UT. Not saying Lanier is one of those. Honestly don't know, but I just don't think "state pride" means anything these days.
Ive mentioned before, and said again last week, that the information chain goes down two roads. From player to handler to placed insider. From NIL member to big donor to friends. Typically, staff doesn’t comment on anything unless it is confirming or denying existing rumors. They usually avoid even that. When someone like BTO or me gets info, it is typically from the chain of donors or services who work with NIL. None of them share until the circle of confidentiality has been breached. I’m sure BTO will confirm that his friends will often say, “I can’t share that yet” or “You can’t share this yet”. The best way to get on the outside of a circle is to share when you’ve been asked not to.
Today, I’ve been asked to not comment on Lanier. I won’t. I probably don’t even need to given what I’ve already said. Take that as you will.
When his show started at noon ET, he said Lanier and his family were in a meeting with Spyre at that time.Basilio all but saying it’s a done deal. CL and Momma met with Spyre. Visit went great. Kentucky has conceded. Etc.

For years, Atlanta has been a recruiting hotbed for Tennessee and it has been, for much longer than Nashville, a city of transients. Yet, our chicken littles who want to downplay Tennessee at every turn, complained, "we can't compete with other SEC schools because Tennessee doesn't have the instate talent." When the proximity of Atlanta, Charlotte, etc. were pointed out, the answer was, "those kids all want to go to the instate schools and we'll just get the leftovers." Nevermind that there have always been a ton of recruits in the ATL area who didn't grow up there or come from families from there. "Doesn't matter," the NegaVols say. "They wanna be instate near their families."
NOW, Nashville has boomed, the population has exploded. With that explosion has come a drastic increase in talent across the board in all sports. Advantage for Tennessee, right? "No, they're from other places and not loyal to Tennessee." WHICH HAS BEEN THE CASE FOR DECADES IN ATLANTA. The shifting subjective standards some of our fans like to apply in order to rationalize their negativity is ridiculous.
And yes, there are fans of many other schools in Nashville. But it's still Big Orange Country. No other fanbase is close. I know. I live here.
PS-I'm not saying you're doing that here, Cav...just general old man griping by me.
