2024 Transfer Portal Thread

Reasonable. Makes me question veracity especially if the source is a handler or a kids agent/family. Goes to motive. Donors looking for cred? I can buy that. When you got the kind of money those guys do, ego is a powerful drug I suppose.
Ego is a powerful drug. Bragging rights of what they accomplished with their $$$$. Almost sickening to a point. It is great to be a Vol Fan but the silent ones about it with the money are the ones that enjoy the ride the most. Some give money in large chunks thinking they are entitled to control, credit, and decisions. Those donors also embed informants into the program to keep an eye on coaches and the AD. Entitled Micromanagers due to donations causing a lot of chaos and confusion for the teams, coaches, and ADs.

I'd like to start the Wall of Tears. If you have any other post, share them.

These tears taste amazing.

i remember those days, but Nashville has seen a crazy amount of growth. Don't know if it's a majority, but I suspect there's a ton of recruits in Nashville who's families have zero pride or loyalty to the state or UT. Not saying Lanier is one of those. Honestly don't know, but I just don't think "state pride" means anything these days.
Yeah, but neighborly appreciation or the absence is real, and 2 1/2 vs 3 3/4 all interstate one way drives is too. I hope that character and integrity surfaces as the drivers with location just a cherry on top. How you deal with NIL can be a plus OR NOT.

Ive mentioned before, and said again last week, that the information chain goes down two roads. From player to handler to placed insider. From NIL member to big donor to friends. Typically, staff doesn’t comment on anything unless it is confirming or denying existing rumors. They usually avoid even that. When someone like BTO or me gets info, it is typically from the chain of donors or services who work with NIL. None of them share until the circle of confidentiality has been breached. I’m sure BTO will confirm that his friends will often say, “I can’t share that yet” or “You can’t share this yet”. The best way to get on the outside of a circle is to share when you’ve been asked not to.

Today, I’ve been asked to not comment on Lanier. I won’t. I probably don’t even need to given what I’ve already said. Take that as you will.
One isn't generally asked to not comment on a player/situation in this kind of instance unless there is a good chance of the player signing with that team, so I'll assume that means good things for Tennessee.

If it were trending away, I'd imagine that the powers that be wouldn't care what was said at that point.

Still hasn’t mastered going airborne after a 180 pound PG runs by him too quickly.
He lacks that quick twitch athleticism 🤣

He’s more in the Harden school of throwing your head back like you got punched in the nose whenever a slight wind blows.

But the thing that gets me the most is when they stick around to complain to the refs while the game continues without them.

I will not like this post because that would just be more sharing, which I won’t do.
