Ego is a powerful drug. Bragging rights of what they accomplished with their $$$$. Almost sickening to a point. It is great to be a Vol Fan but the silent ones about it with the money are the ones that enjoy the ride the most. Some give money in large chunks thinking they are entitled to control, credit, and decisions. Those donors also embed informants into the program to keep an eye on coaches and the AD. Entitled Micromanagers due to donations causing a lot of chaos and confusion for the teams, coaches, and ADs.Reasonable. Makes me question veracity especially if the source is a handler or a kids agent/family. Goes to motive. Donors looking for cred? I can buy that. When you got the kind of money those guys do, ego is a powerful drug I suppose.
