…boomOtherwise, it seems, you could be just creating situations where you have people who will asap be recruited or portalled over. Which perhaps is fine. But the odds are high the same people unhappy now would be the people very upset with the result: pulled scholarships, redistributed to better players next year. Else, the roster could be diminished for years. I trust CKC to work this out. She is dealing with particulars, not abstractions like this conversation.
A poll is a prediction. Kind of like the whole square & rectangle thing. My statement still stands so I’ll be more clear:Speaking of never having seen a poll…
Reading is difficult for some folks. They see the word predictions, as in
and their brains—or functional equivalents—interpret it as poll. They do, after all, both begin with the letter p. But so do pissant, porridge, and peckerwood.
IMO the two ps are different.A poll is a prediction. Kind of like the whole square & rectangle thing. My statement still stands so I’ll be more clear:
If you are sensitive with what their prediction is, then I guess you’ve never seen a poll before.
Let me know moving forward when you’d like me to dumb it dow
A good poll or a bad poll is still a prediction. It doesn’t matter how you get to the list, it’s a prediction. Unless you can see the future, which I’ll retract my statement.IMO the two ps are different.
A good poll is not a prediction. Nor opinion. It is reporting of data aquired from asking questions of a scientifically selected group which is representative of the population at large.
A prediction is opinion, hopefully informed by good information gathering, but not necessarily by asking others nor any scientific method.
Regarding this particular prediction, IMO it's the worst case scenario for the LVs and not likely to happen. I do see a huge tangle btw 5-10 of lots of teams with lots of potential but just as many questions. I believe the LVs are more likely to finish toward the upper middle of that, like 6 or 7 ish than 10th. If that happens and she lands a decent hs class, it will be a great start for CKC IMO. Anything more, against an SEC historically tough, would be a moonshot for her.
BTW, I think mid SEC was also exactly where KJH would have ended up this year. I believe their portal class would have been similar. But instead of feeling solid, it would have been the end for her and even more painful. She just couldn't turn the trajectory to up, and that's what the LVs need most.
GBO to all the true Vol fans!
I got one question, “have you seen that new hype video?” I’m pumped up right now!!! Lets go, Tennessee is back!
Speaking of being back, Tennessee signed arguably the best portal class in the SEC. That is a first. And no, this has not happened before with the portal.
Tennessee has gotten one or two really good pieces before per portal class year to year but has never landed four P5 commits with starter experience in one class.
The previous staff gets credit for landing some key pieces in separate classes but no they didn’t land a class top to bottom that is this strong.
And no if they had stayed, this was not likely based on the previous portal classes under CKH. But again, not to diminish the key pieces in each portal class that they brought to Knoxville and have been great additions to the LV program.
GBO.
As there is an obvious need, we shall examine the dumbed down version of lexical reality for those who prefer twisty turny to straightforward. A poll requires input from more than a single respondent. There is no indication that 94 podiatry units is staffed by more than a single predictor.A poll is a prediction. Maybe yes, maybe no. Take a poll of all your friends, yes, both of them. Ask whether their favorite idiot is Liz Truss or some fellow with a sickly orange tint who yells, “Unfair!” at every opportunity. What predictive value might you find in the resulting tabulation?A poll is a prediction.
I don’t prefer twisty turny. I just happened to have finished beyond 2nd grade and know that a poll is a prediction and have comprehension skills. As there is an obvious need, we shall examine the dumbed down version of lexical reality for those who prefer twisty turny to straightforward. Hence, the prediction is not associated with a poll. You are free to remain stubborn and wrong on this point, should you choose to embarrass yourself further.

Your ability to bray is beyond question; you have established a necessary but not sufficient basis for being classified as a jackass. Will you grace us with further evidence?
As my prior comment demonstrated, what you think you know and what is are not the same.I just happened to have finished beyond 2nd grade and know that a poll is a prediction and have comprehension skills.
