I’m still not impressed with the roster they put together. She did drag in a boatload of transfers but Smikle is the only one likely to make an immediate and measurable impact for them. Kaylene reminds me a lot of Rae Burrell, she was a nice get.

They’re gonna have some weird chemistry problems though will be 0% shocked if they have players leave the team mid-season.

Don't know why they thought it was going to be about Tennessee. A lot of skim milkey commits news to other teams.

We also have four guards actively being recruited so I'm sure they are all trying to also figure out why they might fit in the picture. They are all starters, and they'd have to really think about if they are okay not being in a role where they typically played 30 plus minutes a game.

I think you are correct, in the wake of all this I have noted that the once “Nostradamus “ of all things in WBB has in reality been batting a lot closer to .500 (or less really) than 1.000 with respects to most of his/her posts the past 7-10 days. It seems nobody is ever perfect after all, which we knew anyway.

You are only as good as your most recent predictions and Skim's last two were Nye (whiff) and Ruby (still waiting to see).

It has been just two days since Ruby was at UT and I imagine she still attends class since the trip. I still feel optimistic. I think after getting so burned by the predictions that Nye was coming here, I think we are on high alert to get burned again. The difference is that Ruby came here on a visit, and then the predictions were made including AP. For Nye, the predictions were made right after she entered the portal so unexpectedly after her coach departed for UT. This created a lot of speculation that may have led to some of the predictions rather than based on how an actual visit went. It is a different scenario for Ruby. She will announce when she is ready.

Not getting instantaneous commits is a moral victory of accepting mediocrity because we are Tennessee standards....

The names just keep coming in for possible wonderful additions to our team. Like so many others, there are some real positives and some question marks. The biggest positive is that she had an incredible Freshman year. She got SEC Freshman of the Year, and was Freshman of the week on numerous occasions. Almost all her stats were really good for a Freshman. Weirdly, her shooting percentages went down in the next couple of years, perhaps because her team was a real ____ show. Throughout her career, her assists are better than most of our guard prospects. Glad our staff is taking a look at her to see how we match up.

And who is playing defense on that team? If it were us in those shoes I’d be saying “cautiously optimistic.”

We have two posts and a forward. Two of whom are excellent transfers with a lot more upside and eligibility than what Maryland just did. Both coming from an excellent league in the ACC.

We do need a PG and that is obviously being addressed.

I like Smikle and Poffenbarger (even tho I wouldn’t want her drama) and Dalce

It’s a good class I would rate it higher rn than ours

But Latham’s potential and Spearman’s fit are perfect here. We move past them with Whitehorn OR Kapinus
