2024 TRANSFER TRACKER

Well CKC may see it differently. She may not just sell out to possible talent. It seems she does respect our returners too. Idk tho. It’s literally just a guess
We don’t the conversations they are having, but she says she wants to win championships so I doubt she looked at our roster of players and thought she could get it done, that’s why we are in on so many players, most of our roster won’t be playing much anyway.

If this is the player you want, u need to get them. We have a few open spots for starters so that shouldn’t be a problem.

It’s not a “we” decision to make.

You speak from a position of authority a lot to dictate what the actual coach should do.. then will without cause throw this logical reasoning out of having no expectations of winning in a conversation dealing with matters that are beyond your control.

CKC has her “depth chart” set. She is making the key decisions and no else.

Well I see "we" and "us" posted everyday on this site.

Not most, but 3-4 most likely.
I think you should probably adjust your expectations more, Dark. We’re going after another 5’6” PG who can’t shoot free throws who St. John’s was interested in. I think that should tell us where we are as a program currently. Maybe the system will make them all better shooters? idk. It’s cKC’s system and her job. She’ll either fail or succeed with it. Only thing we can do is sit back and watch.

IMHO...

It does no good to put talent on your roster if the player is not 100% committed to (meaning, trusting in) the coach, her philosophy, and her culture.

Nobody looking at the roster Bruce Pearl inherited at Tennessee thought this was a team that could make much headway in the conference. But the players had already committed to erasing their past under-performing.

College-aged female basketball players are not suitable subjects for a sabermetrics approach. We will move further in this first year toward the championship goal by having the right players, not by having what paper or spreadsheet claim are the best players.

If CKC can prove her philosophy on the court in Year One, the quality players will come. But first, the locker room has to be a family this summer in order to become a team by next Fall.
