2024 TRANSFER TRACKER

Don't look like we’re interested in seniors but she is the best player left for adding to scoring and rebounding.
I’ll ask again, do you think we have talked to Janiah Barker to see if she would be interested or to much drama. Could be a heck of a get

I think this would work out to about 30,000/athlete across all sports (which would be capped) plus scholarship, etc.. This would not affect NIL deals which is separate. The major schools can probably find the money but many schools will be left behind (which is happening anyway). This is just a proposal for now.

“The settlement would come with a corresponding commitment from conferences and schools to share revenue with athletes moving forward, per sources. The settlement would establish a framework for power conferences to share revenue with their athletes in the future. Sources have told ESPN that schools are anticipating a ceiling of nearly $20 million per year for athlete revenue share moving forward. (That figure for a revenue share is derived from a formula that's expected to be, per sources, 22% of a revenue metric that's still being discussed, which is set to be based on various revenue buckets. It would be up to the schools to share that much.)”

For some added context, Kapinus is following two Vandy players, two Miss State players, and four Tennessee players. Two of Tennessee assistant coaches (Coach Caldwell does not have an Instagram page), Vandy head coach, and Miss State head coach.

How is it looking like Kapinus is heading to Vandy? She should consider all her options and talk to multiple teams.

Tennessee is also doing this which very likely shares no direct impact to Kapinus.

Alyssa Latham and Lazaria Spearman are prized recruits no matter how it is looked at. Spearman top three out of HS was Louisville, South Carolina, and Miami.

Those offers are confirmed by Raoul on Twitter. Latham had an outstanding freshman season.

Tennessee signed two players that visited and a third is considering their decision to commit. A total of three visitors with two more scheduled for this week.

All players that were recruited by other P5 schools. It’s clear to see that UT is signing good and successful players that has many many options.

That’s a product of what was already happening a la Mykayla Blakes.

I don’t understand this logic.
Why is it so much pessimistic discussion about a single event and recruiting when people have seen the end result of this UT vs Vandy situation?

Do you really think Talaysia Cooper, Alyssa Latham, Kaniya Boyd, Jewel Spear, Sara Puckett, and Jillian Hollingshead are players that are secondary to any player on Vandy roster? They likely wouldn’t even consider Vandy. One or two players can go anywhere they want to it does not mean Vandy is beating Tennessee in recruiting when majority of UT players do not even consider Vandy.

Reading too far into my post. But go off lol

If this is the player you want, u need to get them. We have a few open spots for starters so that shouldn’t be a problem.
Well, if you like dogmatic solutions, here is one.... if you and your like minded fans want the staff to add them, pony up enough money to the collectives to make it a no-brainer for both sides. No problem. Of course you might have to provide additional funds to add a little to the balance of the roster.

I think we need to concentrate on getting Spencer and Dwyer this weekend they both fit the system. If we get any of the others then great. Vandy got a commitment from somebody according to skim Milkey and so did Notre Dame.

Skim has not posted anything related to Vanderbilt. Purdue?

Notre Dame probably King? Didn't she start following them all recently? I had hopes of the LVs getting her, apparently not to be.

Mir McLean suddenly becomes the best scorer on the list and she had to sit out an entire year with an injury. She was really great for Virginia the year before. The best three point shooter is Darrione Rogers that is left on the board. Uconn can't get both Karlen and Dauda only one scholarship to give. Kapinus is definitely looking Vandy and King Notre Dame.
Based on? Following players on social media?

Thank you for a sane assesment.

Some of y'all are so damn dramatic. Getting Spencer would be a great get. She was the 2022 SEC FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR for starters, and yall act like shes hot garbage. I would take what happened at Arkansas with a grain of salt because that program is a MESS and she unfortunately got stuck in the drama. I am glad she's out and has a true chance to show all her talents on a new stage. Give me Ruby and Samara and lets ride.
