In spite of everything else, you have to admire AR's persistence and resilence. Never has a player done more with less, the chuck and pray layup attempts only give ops for more rebounds. The shot put free throws hit enough to boost her scoring. The awful fg% doesn't slow her down, her motor is incredible.

Big game for Izzy H and man she needed that. The combo of Izzy, AR, and Kamilla give the Sky a monster frontcourt. Also, Carter is a real baller, playing great and TSpoon is the perfect coach for them. Only bad news is Diamond continues to struggle for anything consistent.

I was hoping the Mystics would finally break thru and win one. Edwards had a great game but they're just missing too much wo Austin and Sykes.

Love how all these coaches, except the Sparks, put their rookies in the flow of the game and just go with them. How else are they supposed to develop? RJ is sort of stuck in neutral and Brink has actually gone significantly backwards the last few games. And LA just doesn't seem to care.

Jordy and RJ both in the 10pm games tonight.

Yes Reese does need to work more on her shooting mechanics, but I’m not sure if u know she’s really right handed, and she switched to shooting with her left hand her junior year in high school. I think that’s the main issue she has, but she became a Champion and also made it to the WNBA, I’m not sure if certain other players could have made it if they switched shooting hands.

Why did she do that? Hard to believe she chooses to be this awkward. Good Lord she could be Aja Wilson if she had actual offensive skills.

She said she double jointed in her right arm and sometimes it pops out when she shoots so she decided to switch, look at these clipss and notice she pitches with her right hand and the half court shot she shoots with her right hand.

Without an offense beyond 5 feet, AR is having quite the start to her career. Amazingly, coach is being patient with her and showing a high level of confidence.

The secret to her getting so many offensive rebounds is the way she often just flings the ball toward the basket and is the only player who could possibly know where it might come off as a miss. It’s funny to watch how that works for her, but she makes enough of those flings that she is getting it done.

Tough basketball player. I just wish I weren’t getting quite so much of the rest of it these days. lol

An odd ball shooting fomr has not been that much of a barrier for Alyssa Thomas and she and AR have similar games (though AR is not a professional cheap shot artist).

Glad to see Izzy have a good game. This league is so competitive that role players are always at risk of getting cut. Hope Diamond can get it going.

LA is becoming a disaster. They need to make a coaching change. Miller is just not a good fit. LA is great for media exposure but I wish sky had followed the draft projections and taken Rickea. I think she could have thrived under TSpoon.

Fever win with Clark's best shooting performance so far (still turning the ball over too much) amazing what a few days off can do for a player and team.

On another note, what happened to Aliyah Boston? Her shooting touch has been missing, her rebounding is down as well and her play is tentative. There might be things going on behind the scenes but there is no sugarcoating that her performance has been disappointing so far this season.

She doesn't seem as focused this season as she was last season. Nor as physically prepared.

So, yeah, it does make me wonder what's going on. Could just be in need of some time away from the game and the fame. I get worn out just thinking of the grind they all have to go through.

Sparks won against the Wings tonight (and attendance was 10,123). Big win for them! Rickea only played the first and last 2 minutes of the first half, and I was worried she wasn’t going to get to play much, but she played the whole second half, ending up with 24 minutes and 8 points. Also, her drive to the basket got best play of the game.

Looked like they had Rickea guard McCowan for a large part of the game, and she did a good job. (Edit: glv98 says it was Siegrist.) Rickea still stuck to her player like glue.

Wanted to mention Brink again. Never noticed her personality in college, but she is so much fun to watch, and so enthusiastic and supportive of really everyone. She stomps her foot, or gives the ref a big smile even when the call is against her. Just cute! Rickea needs to be exactly where she is, seems like some nice people on that team, and about Brink, I hope she never changes!

Rickea guarded Maddie Siegrist the second half and it was by far her best defensive effort. Held her to 6 pts in the second half after Maddie had 15 in the first. Rickea got the quick hook in the first qtr after giving up a three to Siegrist early on, and Rae played the rest of the first half. She couldn't guard Siegrist either but did otherwise have some nice mins again. Siegrist was a big reason the Wings were ahead at halftime

Rickea then played the whole second half, had some key baskets in the comeback and pretty much locked Maddie up. I don't think she got over 3 or 4 shots the whole second half and Rickea got 4 fouls, which shows she was doing some guarding lol. Second half was a really good comeback for Rickea.

Really good team win for the Sparks; if even Lexie Brown and Steph Talbot are balling you know they have a chance. Good crowd too. Very nice game for Brink, imagine if she could stay out of foul trouble. Poor Zia Cooke is just buried on the bench.

Just when I feel like giving up on the W, this was a really fun night of games. 3 upsets in the late games, the Storm beat the Aces, the dang Mercury beat the Lynx on a last second shot by Copper, and the Sparks beat the Wings.

Jordy played 17 mins in the Storm win, had 2 pts and a rebound. Didn't stuff stats like she usually does. Sami Whitcomb continues to get mins Jordy would otherwise get. Mercedes only played 8 mins and didn't score. She's been playing much more than that. The W is such an up and down world.
