The problem is it happens in every game, are u going to complain every time a player talks trash during a game? Even players on our LadyVols have done it.

This is pointless, but why not. For the billionth time, AR's "trash talk" is an exaggerated version that is certain to draw both devoted fans and passionate haters. We have eyes to see. It's way more than what goes on in routine games. At least that we can hear and see.

I don't care what any of them say on court. They can be ordering post game door dash for all I care. But it doesn't enhance my entertainment for a player to go into game long performance art. Once in while as appropriate to the game, yeah. That's just my opinion, yours may vary. But saying AR is just another one of them is obviously not true.

Crazy to call either of these players dime a dozen. The numbers are what they are and both are rolling them up. LOL what I wouldn't give for my fave rookie to have a few numbers like this, esp lately.

But I also don't think either are doing anything that's never been seen or done before. There were/are some pretty good pgs and 3 pt shooters and some pretty rugged rebounders before. Both CC and AR are putting up rookie records, but I think never before is getting carried away.

At some point, I feel like the issue is less about the players than fans who are obsessing on every expression and action made by the players in question. Yesterday's Fever-Sky game was excellent. It had everything, runs, comeback wins. Clark was very good for 3rd quarters (orchestrating the game like a vet and shooting well). Credit to sky for taking her out of the game in the crunch time 4th quarter. Diamond had a very solid game with good defensive effort and some shot making,. Reese put up a monster game. She may have an unorthodox style but she is effective (and perhaps her style contributes to her success). On one of her three point plays, she looked like an elite tight end making an end zone grab in double coverage but also having the wherewithal to get a good shot up to the rim. Her engine does not stop.

Sure there was a some trash talk and one, "hold me back" flash point, that did not involve Reese by the way, but those were such minor moments in the game, why amplify those to continue this silly proxy culture war being waged through this supposed Clark vs. Reese rivalry.

Plenty of players can shoot 3’s. It’s only 3 pts no matter how far u shoot them, so that’s a dime a dozen. But u can’t find players that win at every level and big time competitors no matter the situation. Boston was the number one pick last year and she wasn’t given nonstop coverage.

Sure, they just aren’t/weren’t doing it for the logo on a regular basis. So unfortunately, not a dime a dozen or she wouldn’t have had the eyes on her watching. Which means money for the networks. Boston again, dime a dozen. Solid player, but players like her are on every team.

They’ve been consistent ever since Reese beat her for a Championship, the next year up until now they’ve given the promotion and no stop coverage to Clark instead of the one that had a historic season along with a historic NCAA tournament with Moat Outstanding Player honors. But thats just how things work and I doubt it ever changes. I’ll be looking forward to seeing in 3 years who they promote over Juju.

I'm interested to see how they cover the league when Paige Bueckers enters the league next season especially if UConn wins the national championship.

I said the following season they were still in college, so picks aren’t in play here, the following season they push and promoted Clark instead of the Champion, and yea I think of u have a historic run to a Championship u should be promoted the next year.

So are you upset about now or then…pick a lane. Clark had the better team returning. Reese was fighting in front of recruits and was “absent” from the team early in the season. So which part does the media need to showcase? Champion seemed to undo her own “promoting” by her antics. Can’t have it both ways.

Reese was not the best player during the championship season, though; Clark was National Player of the Year both times.

At least I can agree Reese did too much at the end of that game, but for the most part it’s just trash talk, the thing about u Clarkies is that u think she does no wrong, even when she pushed that poor girl to the ground as an example.

I’m college, that’s the only time I had an issue with it. But I’m still waiting for that other dude to reply to my message but I guess he gave up.

Clark that season put up 28-7-9 on 47% shooting, including 56% from 2 which is much better than Reese who plays much closer to the rim. I love Angel but Clark was the 2x NPOY and #1 pick for a reason

She was the primary focus of every defense they played against and still put up those numbers as well.
